    Nice calendar, annoying experience

    filters were rubbish, search threw up random things and, annoyingly, removing one item from the basket once wiped the whole lot. I kept at it, nagging their support and poking around, and eventually the calendar arrived. It's actually nice — the paper, layout and the moon markings are as promised — so I'm relieved. I only told my sister about it after that, but I won't forget the hassle, quite exhausting.

To my surprise the person was calm, explained how the promotions stack, and adjusted my order so the half-price calendar and my code both applied sensibly (took a minute but that was fine). The parcels arrived on time, nicely packaged, and both mums loved them. So yeah, I was doubtful at first, but they sorted it and I’m properly pleased — saved a bit and kept my Christmas tradition.

    Odd start, happy finish

    I was stood near the exit, half-waving at some people I knew outside and trying to sort a quick bank transfer on my phone, when a bloke from the store started shadowing me and asking if I intended to buy the item. I said yes, kept fiddling with my banking app, and he just wouldn’t give it — he even stood in my sister’s way so she couldn’t pass. I felt really awkward, not sure what he thought was happening. The part that turned it around was when another staff member (a manager, I think) noticed, stepped in and actually apologised properly. They didn’t make excuses, took the time to listen, and quietly completed the sale for me with a small gesture — a discount and a proper refund option if it went wrong. The product (a travel mug I use every morning) works great — it’s in my bag daily now. I knew I was satisfied when they fixed it calmly and I could leave feeling respected.

    Little doubts, then it grew on us

    I've used Calendar Club off and on for about five years and I tell you, this time I opened the parcel half-expecting trouble. There was a small dent on the calendar cover and a few marks on the diary cover — I noticed straight away and thought "here we go again". I almost sent the diary back but at under a fiver and with that returns faff mentioned in the small print I decided not to. Glad I kept it. Over the last few weeks it's been living on the kitchen wall and in my bag; my wife scribbles meal plans and I use the diary for work bits and school runs. The thing that made me properly happy was the morning she wrote her first proper birthday plan in it and actually smiled, silly as that sounds — that's when I knew it was doing its job. So yes, not perfect, a bit scruffy, but useful and reliable for day-to-day.

I kept calling and checking, waited weeks, filed an online message — radio silence. Eventually I contacted a specialist games shop in Montreal and they were brilliant, sending tokens out straightaway so we could finally play. So, in the end the game itself is fun and feels proper once you’ve got everything, but the buying experience was clunky and the aftercare was poor. I’m happy with the product once it’s complete, annoyed with the runaround, and grateful to the other shop who actually helped. Could be a lot smoother.

    Oddly satisfying doorstep maths

    I knew I was going to be alright the moment the first Amazon box landed on the mat. Strange way to measure contentment, I know, but there it was — relief that felt a bit too loud in a quiet hallway. I’d been faffing about trying to save a few quid by splitting an order between two sites. Classic me. One calendar was out of stock at Calendar Club. That should have rung a bell. Instead I played bargain hunter. Put one on Amazon, three with Calendar Club to nab their half-price third offer. Saved eight pounds. Felt clever. Felt slightly smug.
    Then things got messy. Amazon turned up in about twelve hours. Super speedy. Calendar Club emailed eight days later saying delivery had happened. Err, no. Canada Post had other plans and the parcel was apparently wandering Canada. I phoned Calendar Club. The person I spoke to was calm and nice, and actually helpful. That helped. It really did. Canada Post opened a query. So at that point I was cautiously grateful. Not satisfied, but relieved someone was doing something.
    Two days later I thought sod it and ordered the missing calendar from Amazon. I couldn’t sit around waiting. Next day two of the three Amazon calendars were on the step (the third arrived two days after), and lo and behold, the Calendar Club parcel eventually turned up too. I stared at the unopened box for longer than is sensible. Went online, checked their returns policy. Shipping back would cost me twenty-one pounds. The whole Calendar Club order had been fifty-two fifty. Do the maths. The sensible choice would have been to return, get the refund, sort it out. But the thought of queuing at the post office, paying twenty-one quid and the faff of it all made me cross and lazy and slightly vengeful.
    So — yes — I chucked the unopened box into the recycling bin. An hour later it was on a truck destined for the dump. I know, wasteful. I know, not ideal. But watching the parcel go felt oddly cathartic. I’d doubled up on calendars to save eight pounds and ended up shelling out nearer sixty in the end. Stupid, yes. Expensive, yes. But that pinpoint moment of satisfaction came when the friendly Calendar Club rep actually listened and when Amazon did what Amazon does — deliver quickly and take returns without haggling. I’m grateful they were polite and tried to help. Still, I’ll probably stick to the hassle-free option next year. Life’s too short for dodgy deliveries and extra trips to the post office.

    First purchase, diary

    My first time buying a diary from the shop went pretty well. The diary I got was just like it was shown on the website, and I really liked the quality and design. It's sturdy but still looks classy, and it's so light which makes it perfect for everyday use. I'm happy with my purchase and I would think about getting more stuff from this shop in the future.

    But, I did see some reviews talking about orders arriving late for Christmas. I'm still getting Christmas cards in late January, so I'm hoping the postal service sorts it out for next Christmas.

    UK-themed calendar

    I bought a calendar themed around the UK from this shop because I thought being a UK business, it would have the right UK stuff in it. But turns out, it was actually in US format with wrong and missing dates. I tried to contact customer service for help, but they didn't sort out my problem. In the end, a really bad experience that left me feeling unhappy.

    I absolutely love getting my diaries from here every year! They're always so good, with loads of cool designs to choose from. I've never had any problems with my orders, and they always turn up super fast. The prices are really fair, especially considering how good the quality is. I'll definitely be coming back here for my diaries every year.

    Damaged item, lack of response

    I bought something that turned up damaged, making it no good for a gift. I tried to get in touch with the company to let them know, but they haven't got back to me. It's a shame they haven't responded, it's left me feeling really annoyed.

    Christmas present calendar

    I ordered a calendar as a Christmas present on 8th December but didn't hear anything until I asked for an update 10 days later! Finally got a response saying it has been dispatched, with no date given and blaming Royal Mail for the delay due to a strike. If I don't get it by the end of the week, I'll have to contact them again. I'm definitely going to shop somewhere else next time!

    Bird calendar

    I purchased a bird calendar that promised a different bird every day, but there were days when there were no birds at all! I was really disappointed because I was looking forward to seeing a cute bird every day, not just occasionally. So, I decided to email them to complain because I paid for a bird every day, not every other day. It's always important to ask all the necessary questions before making a purchase, such as how many birds are actually included in the calendar. And did you know, under the Sales of Goods Act, I am entitled to receive a full refund or a replacement? I think that's pretty cool!

    I love getting the same calendar and diary "Born to Shop" every year, and I always go to these guys to order it. They never let me down with their great choice of products and top-notch quality.     I bought this calendar expecting it to arrive really fast, but it's been ages and it's still not here. It's frustrating because Royal Mail can deliver to France in just 2 days, so why does DHL take so long? And when I contacted customer service about the delay, they just shrugged it off and laughed.     Disney family calendar purchase

    It was my first time ordering from this website, and I thought I'd change things up a bit by getting a Disney family calendar instead of the usual. I placed my order on the 14th of December and got an email saying it was sent out on the 16th. The calendar showed up either on the 22nd or 23rd of December. The service was fine, no problems there. However, I wasn't completely wowed by the calendar itself, but that's on me for not reading the description properly before buying. Still, I might give this service another go in the future.
