Funny, I loved the mustard corduroy at first — looked great in my daughter's corner and she used it every day for reading and Minecraft. Trouble is, after a year or so it just sagged and the filling went spongy; when I sit on it my backside nearly meets the carpet. Delivery was fine actually — arrived on time and well wrapped — but customer service was a bit of a faff. Rang about topping it up and was quoted an eyebrow-raising price for a refill, no real options or helpful alternatives. Will find another beanbag next time, sadly.
Comfy win for sensory needs
I didn't expect such an easy decision. My lad can be picky about feel — textures can set him off — so the fabric swatches were a lifesaver. He sat on a few samples, took his time, and then we picked one that actually works for him. It's now in our living room, his go-to nook for reading and gaming, and honestly it settles him down after school. The style looks normal too, not babyish, which I like. Small things, but they matter. We're really pleased — simple as that, and it's very practical.
Finally the right fit
I remember the exact moment I knew we’d made the right choice — the XL bean bag arrived and I sank into it with a cuppa, proper comfy, not the squashed thing the Large had felt like. We’d ordered two indoor/outdoor ones and at first the Large looked a bit stingy, so I rang GBB. They were refreshing — quick to say no problem, take the payment difference and sort replacements. Two days later they turned up. There’s a tiny uneven stitch by the seam and the cover creases a bit, but for everyday lounging in the living room and on the patio they’re brilliant. Worth the extra.
Let-down, plain and simple
I wouldn’t use them again — that’s the bottom line. I needed those beans because we’d just moved and they were meant to cover my child’s breakfasts while I sorted the kitchen, so it mattered. I spoke to Patrick a few times; he said he’d refund me as a goodwill gesture and dispatch a replacement. That didn’t happen. Phone call felt brusque, he denied cancelling the original order yet it was cancelled and no refund appeared. The parcel that did arrive was nowhere near the amount I paid for, so we’ve been short. I was hoping they’d make it right, but it was disappointing for my kid and me. Not great service, frankly.
