Not worth the hassle — I was making tea when the delivery turned up and it was a mess. I saw the lamp on their website after a friend suggested it, so I ordered it. Later it arrived (Parcelforce) with no knock or card; it had been left round the back in the rain. The box was sodden and when I opened it the metal had rust. I phoned the seller and they said I’d need to return it; fair, but the original packaging was ruined. They sent new packaging but no return label and wanted me to pay postage. They offered a tenner to keep a scratched, rusty lamp. It works fine, light is okay, but the whole thing was a faff and I won’t use them again.
Mostly sorted in the end
I ended up fairly pleased with the lights, even though I started out ready to complain. Bought two ceiling pendants for the living room, each piece of glass about £185, and after fitting them they rattled whenever there was a draught or someone walked by. I rang the supplier, feeling a bit cross, and at first they were adamant — no returns once installed. I pushed back, mentioned I’d told them within the 14 days after delivery, and after a couple of awkward calls they agreed to either replace the glass or refund the cost. The replacement fixed it; no more clattering. So yes, slightly annoying start, took persistence, but they sorted it. They’re now part of daily life — cosy evenings without tapping glass, and cheaper than I expected.
Not what I expected, but happy with it
Funny little moment when I was fitting the new shade — I hesitated, thought it might look a bit fussy. Turned out fine. I’ve got this five-arm chandelier (Endon 1805, antique brass) over the dining table and a couple of matching ceiling lights in the hall and bedroom. Using warm LED bulbs and the glow is just right; cosy but not dim. Ordering was easy enough, the site was clear and I didn’t get lost. One lampshade went missing, rang them and they sorted it quickly, friendly people. Packaging was good so nothing arrived dented. I do tend to worry about online buys, yet these feel solid and well-made. Would buy again. Small niggles aside, pleased I took the chance.
Blue lights, clear problems
avoid — not worth the faff. I ordered what was shown as blue glass ceiling lights and got plain clear ones. I tried to tell them, they said "never blue" — despite the website showing blue until I complained and, funny enough, it then changed. I asked for a pre-paid return label, asked again, asked a third time… and nothing. Trading Standards even said I had a point, which is a relief, but it doesn't help me with the useless fixtures sat in my hallway. I've had returns handled neatly by other firms before, so I know how it can go — this wasn’t it. I gave them chances, honestly I did, but it felt like being fobbed off. Slightly annoyed, a bit bemused, and a waste of time and £90. Wouldn’t recommend — unless you like surprises, though not the fun kind.
Nearly didn’t buy it — glad I did
it arrived quicker than I expected and well packed (no bruises). There was a tiny scuff on one corner but honestly it’s barely noticeable and didn’t affect how it works. Customer chat was friendly and helpful when I asked about setup — not robotic at all, which made a big difference. The thing that really won me over was a little extra: they’d included a short adapter cable (random, but useful) which saved me a trip to the shops. Now it’s part of my daily shuffle — makes mornings less faff and evenings calmer. So yes, I had doubts, they mostly melted away. Wouldn’t call it flawless, but for the price and how it’s improved my day, I’m proper happy.
Dodgy fittings, relieved no one was hurt
I bought three wall lights for the hallway and they looked fine in the photos, but in person they feel cheap — thin metal, loose plastic fittings, the whole thing just feels a bit flimsy. Our sparky tried to fit them and a bulb actually blew as he was testing one, so he stopped straight away and said they were unsafe. That was a relief in a way, because at least it was spotted before anyone got hurt, but it cost us his time and a fair bit of hassle. I had emergency surgery soon after and explained to the company that I couldn't drive to return them and that I was shielding; I said I'd sort the return as soon as I could. When I did get them back to the depot I got a replacement sent back to me instead of a refund — I never asked for a replacement — and they refused to refund. To be honest, I don't have the energy to fight after surgery. I'm glad the electrician caught the problem and that I'm okay, but disappointed by the lack of responsibility and the poor build quality.
Not worth the hassle, not yet
I wouldn’t use them again until they sort out how they communicate. I ordered a couple of fittings in early February because the website looked fine and checkout was easy. First impression was good — clean site, sensible prices — but that’s where it ended. My order just sat, no note about stock or delays, and I got nothing until I emailed. They replied that they’d check with the manufacturer, then silence again for about a week. I get supply chain problems happen, that’s fine, but you need to tell me what’s going on. Eventually the items did turn up — decent quality, no faults — but the wait and lack of updates made the whole thing frustrating. A friend would tell you: shop elsewhere if you want a predictable experience. If they improve proactive updates and honest stock info I’d give them another shot, but for now it feels unprofessional even if the product itself is okay.
