Tea in one hand, the wash in the other — smelled lovely straight away. I’ve been using it every morning on hands and sometimes as a quick body wash after the gym. Smell is fresh, not too loud, which I like. The ordering was simple and the package arrived quickly, but a bit confusing — the photo showed a pair, I thought I’d get two, but only one was in the box. Customer service replied and seemed understanding, yet didn’t really sort it; they offered a return but that’s awkward when it was meant as a gift. They said they’d pass feedback about the images. I appreciate the reply, but nothing changed since. Also the scent doesn’t hang around for long on me, and I had a little neck irritation once, so I’m careful now. All in all I enjoy using it, delivery was decent, service polite but not brilliant.
Bathroom-epiphany turned ordering saga
the website behaved like it had a mind of its own. Items looked in stock until I tried to check out, then suddenly they weren't. I kept adding, removing, going back and forth — honestly, it felt a bit like shopping roulette.
Not great at first, but sorted in the end
the parcel had already been dispatched and the first reply was basically no, we can’t send anything extra. I asked if they could at least send a bag so it looked presentable and again I got a negative. Annoying, and I’m not fussy but it mattered. Then Elaine from customer experience got involved after I posted a follow-up and she actually sent two gift boxes out without fuss. So overall still mixed — initial service slip-up, but Elaine fixed it and that mattered.
Disappointed enough to stop buying
I wouldn’t trust Jo Loves with anything time‑sensitive now. I needed a present for my sister‑in‑law’s 30th and wanted it sorted without drama, but the whole thing felt like a string of little failures that added up. I had trouble logging in (ended up making a new account, which I didn’t want to do), and although their site says live chat and emails are available Monday–Saturday 09:30–17:30, I couldn’t get an answer on the Saturday I was trying to check delivery and a missing scent‑club email. So I paid £7.95 for next‑day delivery, expecting the parcel to be dispatched Monday and arrive Tuesday for the birthday. It didn’t turn up on Tuesday, which was embarrassing — family waiting and me having to explain. Customer service eventually replied and said it would be delivered Wednesday and refunded the delivery charge “as a gesture of goodwill”. Fine, but that doesn’t change that I paid for a service I didn’t receive, and being given a promise after the fact isn’t much comfort. They also offered the club gift on a future order, which is of no use to me because I won’t be ordering again. On top of that, a £5 charge for a gift box felt stingy; when you’re paying for a premium brand you expect basic presentation included (used to be, in my experience). Overall it’s a real shame — I used to buy Jo Loves regularly for treats and gifts, but this has put me off. I’m left feeling frustrated and a bit awkward with family, which is exactly what I wanted to avoid.
Stuck pump, sticky hands and a long email chain
thick, creamy and fragrant. But getting it onto my hand was needlessly awkward and messy, and I couldn’t persuade much of it back into the bottle afterwards without making a bigger mess in the sink.
