It's silly but the moment I realised I was happy was when it was on before she even noticed — proper quick. I've had step-in harnesses that are a faff, so this was a relief. Fits neatly, doesn't rub (surprising), and I actually felt in control for once. Plus the clip is quiet, not fancy, just works.
Delivery and service stood out
Halfway through the first walk with the new summer harness I noticed it's much lighter than the old one. I started using it in late May for our morning walks — first impression was that it's breathable, easy to clip and sits well. Delivery arrived on time and customer service replied quickly about sizing, which helped. Not flawless — one strap rubs a bit on longer strolls — but generally solid and practical.
Decent but design weak
Overall it's okay but not well made. My old one lasted about 3–4 years, so I ordered a replacement after the middle hook pulled from its stitching and the side loops frayed. The black skull version lasted only a couple of weeks — the centre hook ripped when the lead was pulled and I returned it. I started using the new one right away; first impression was fine, but the design lets a dog slip when she crouches. Works, not perfect.
Great fit, won't stop pulling
There's something about the way it sits on my Aussie that made me buy it — it actually stays put over that thick, fluffy coat and crucially doesn't press on her trachea. It's solidly made, feels sturdy and she seems comfortable, which was a nice surprise after cheap, floppy harnesses from other brands. Having said that, it doesn't stop her pulling — even with the side rings used as suggested, she still leans in. I still reach for it for calmer walks, but it's not the all‑round solution I hoped for. Ordering and delivery were fine, though the price felt steep.
Pretty but pinches
Was halfway down the park when I realised the harness just doesn't sit right on her. She's built oddly — tiny chest, no shoulders — and while the Joyride looked brilliant (lovely colour, soft padding, easy to clip on), the big buckle keeps sliding round and digging under her front legs. It looks smart, I like the material, but it isn't comfortable for her shape. I bought it for our daily walks and car trips, hoping she'd be cosy, and I'm gutted it's not working. Adding to it, I ordered a seatbelt on sale but they never sent it, and I only noticed later I'd been charged more. Bit annoying, but some bits were decent
