Halfway through fitting the set I noticed one of the whips had died — proper annoying. I got in touch about the warranty and, to my surprise, someone replied straight away and spoke to me like a person, not a ticket. They kept me updated the whole time and sorted a replacement; not just the single faulty piece but a whole new set, which I didn't expect. Delivery was quick both times. I've had dodgy support elsewhere, so this was refreshing, although the first fault still left a sour note.
Shocking first impression
Kemimoto said I had to chase the insurer and wouldn't just send a replacement. Took ages to get the refund, honestly. Having dealt with worse firms before, this could've been handled smoother, but in the end I got my money back. Tip: insure it and be patient, it will likely work out, eventually.
Half worried, half relieved
the replacement actually arrived and the jacket is better than I expected — proper warm, neat stitching, and they’d tucked in an extra button which was a nice surprise. Communication never felt brilliant, but someone did sort it in the end and I appreciated that they followed up when I pushed. So my initial worries mostly faded — not gone entirely, because the delays were annoying, but the product and the eventual resolution made me glad I didn’t cancel. Would I try them again? Probably, but I’ll keep a closer eye on the tracking next time.
Quick fix, comfy-ish
Needed gloves for commuting and weekend rides — hands get freezing and I’ve had a bad run with cheap ones before. One glove in my first pair didn’t work, I emailed and they sorted it quickly, sent a replacement pair that actually works. Today’s first ride felt warm and wind-resistant, which is great. Palm is squishier than I expected and that messed with my throttle a bit, but I reckon they’ll break in and still better than freezing hands.
