I knew I was happy the second Hatice handed me the mirror — the helix piercings looked neat and I actually relaxed, odd as that sounds. She was patient, explained aftercare, even gave a small sticker which was a nice touch. If you’re nervous, ask for her — really made it easy.
Odd visit, alright
I first spotted the shop on the high street and recommended it to a mate. I ordered a pair online; delivery was fine and it arrived on time, but when I popped in to ask about ear piercing the tall blonde shrugged and gave me a dirty look. Product works, staff let it down.
Surprisingly calm experience
I was unsure before booking — my six-year-old was terrified and I worried about hygiene and the actual gun. The piercer was calm, explained everything and made her relax. She came out grinning. It's not perfect — a short wait and the studs felt a bit tight — but they're fine for school and baths.
Dodgy studs
check what it’s made of first or don’t bother.
Pretty but fragile — still glad I tried it
Lovely look, fragile though — my summary. I first saw theirs on a friend’s feed and thought I’d try two bracelets, and honestly I’m glad I did because they’re really pretty. But both snapped within days; the tiny silver rings are like staples. I bodged one back together and keep wearing it, so pleased but cautious, just don’t expect heavy wear.
Surprisingly calm in Maidstone
definitely worth it — calming, quick and exactly what I needed. I was a bit dubious about getting my second piercing because I've got ADHD and autism, but the assistant (I didn't catch her name) was brilliant. She gave me space, explained each step and taught a simple breathing trick that actually helped — hardly any pain. I wear the stud every day now; it fits my routine. I'll be back.
Cartilage mistake, really
I popped in to get the middle bit of my ear done and they used a piercing gun — which, as I later learned, you really shouldn't for cartilage. It never healed properly, hurt on and off for months (I gave it four plus months before I gave up) and I ended up removing it. I wear earphones every day for work, so it was a proper nuisance. Glad it didn't get infected, but won't risk going back.
Little find that kept surprising me
Halfway through my morning commute I realised I’d already worn the earrings three days in a row — that’s when I knew I was happy. They go with my work trousers and my sloppy weekend jumper, still look fresh after a handful of wears. Colours haven’t faded, clips hold up, and there’s enough variety to keep me buying too much. Staff were nice in-store and the sales are worth it, made me smile.
Ring went a bit rogue
I was buzzing to give this ring as a birthday present — it felt dainty but solid, sat nicely on the finger and even my mum complimented it. A few weeks in the stone popped out though, which gutted me because it was a gift. I asked for a replacement (checked stock first) and they just refunded without even asking for photos or offering to resend. Now they keep suggesting I reorder but expect me to pay shipping to replace a faulty item. Bit of a faff and not great service, sadly.
Second-time mistake
go to a proper piercer, not a quick mall job. Glad I pulled them though; now I can heal and re‑book properly.
Another one snapped
any movement and the ball detaches. Went back to the shop for a spare and they said they don’t sell them, so I had to buy another. But at least it happened at home. My tip: avoid threadless or buy spares elsewhere.
Pretty pleased, with a hiccup
I'm pretty chuffed with the piercings overall, but there's been a hiccup. To be honest they look great and are healing mostly fine, though about a month later one got a bit infected. I asked for a spare earring and they said they weren't available, then later I saw them hand the exact ones to someone else — that annoyed me. The replacement earring went straight through the hole wrong and it took ages for me to push it through so I could stop the infection, awkward. Staff were friendly enough but not very helpful or knowledgeable when I needed advice. I've had worse places, so it's not awful, just could be more professional.
Small, solid and surprisingly fine
I first saw this on a mate’s feed and bought it on impulse. It’s a simple metal bar — cool to the touch, solid without being chunky, a bit thicker than I imagined but it sits flush against the tragus and I hardly notice it. There’s a tiny rough spot on one end if you inspect closely, but it hasn’t caught on clothing or annoyed me. Ordering was painless and delivery was quick; packaging was basic. Glad I tried it, saved me a trip to the jeweller and actually pleased with how it feels day to day.
Misleading images
they said they don’t sell earrings for hygiene reasons, yet the items arrived in clear packaging and were clearly not the ones shown. Feels like misleading behaviour, so I’ll be taking it further with a complaint. I’ve seen bad listings before elsewhere, but this felt worse. Not perfect, but at least delivery was quick, so there’s that.
That pause in the car
I was halfway back to the car, ticket still in my hand, thinking this would be another wasted errand, when the customer rep phoned and said they’d sort the refund then and there. That’s the exact moment I stopped worrying. Before that it was a mess — cheap-feeling items, awful fit, told online returns were fine but the shop wouldn’t accept them without a paper receipt, parking paid, time gone. I’d had the same automated reply a few times, so I wasn’t expecting much. Still, a human eventually picked it up, confirmed the refund and explained next steps clearly. I’m glad it ended cleanly, even if it shouldn’t have taken so long. A bit annoyed by the runaround, but relieved that money is finally coming back.
Not great at Uxbridge
I wouldn’t recommend that Uxbridge branch. I popped in to pick up some hair accessories and the till assistant insisted I had to give an email to get a receipt — not asked, told — and when I declined she said they don’t do paper receipts anymore. That didn’t sit right, so I rang head office the next day and they said that wasn’t true. I’m actually glad I checked, and relieved it wasn’t just me being fussy. I’ve shopped at their other stores and been fine, so I’ll still go elsewhere, but I’ve warned a couple of friends and my sister not to bother with that shop. Bit annoying and avoidable, really, but pleased it got cleared up.
Little win from a late-night scroll
necklaces, rings, a few bangles and nose studs. Delivery turned up in good time and everything was neatly wrapped, nothing rattling about. The proper "oh, nice" moment came when the tiny nose studs stayed put during school PE — I honestly didn't expect that. The rings look delicate but aren't bent, clasps on the chains feel solid and one of the earring backs is surprisingly snug. There's a tiny bit of repetition in the designs but overall it's decent quality for the money. I feel pleasantly smug about the haul and will probably order again.
Little sparkle, big mood
Went in with low expectations after the signage fiasco — honestly thought we'd walk out. My daughter adores their earrings so we keep coming back. The staff were a bit vague about the 3 for £12 signs (same-colour signs, different tills — classic confusion), which annoyed me at first — why leave the old signs up? But the earrings themselves? Lovely. They're lightweight, don't tug at her lobes and hold up to everyday wear — school, after-school clubs, even swimming sometimes (she shouldn't, I know). They don't feel cheap in your hand either, a reassuring little weight and a decent sparkle without being gaudy. Colours stay bright and the clips are firm. So while the shop needs better staff training and clearer pricing, the product feels great and the girl's happy, which counts for a lot. We'll probably shop there again, just double-check prices at the till this time.
Not worth the bother
buy one pair, wear it a few days, check for reactions and discolouring. I’d like them to cover returns for faulty goods and be clearer about materials, then I might give them another go — as it stands, I’m disappointed.
A small worry turned out fine
Lovisa. That’s where we went. The moment I knew I’d made the right call was when my daughter came out calm and actually smiling, holding that little “just pierced” pouch — that was the turning point for me. Staff were straightforward, polite and efficient; not showy, just good at what they do and good with kids. We’d planned to pierce both ears at once, but one ear was done a fraction quicker than the other — three seconds maybe — so there was a tiny hiccup, nothing major, and staff handled it without fuss. The aftercare chat was practical and useful, the small gift set (pillow, spray, bag) felt thoughtful rather than gimmicky. I first heard about the place from clients and then my friend confirmed it, so I wasn’t going in blind. Overall it felt like a sensible choice, a bit of relief when it all went smoothly, and my daughter’s happy face said it all. Would recommend to any parent who’s nervous but wants professional, no-nonsense service.
