Went in with low expectations after the signage fiasco — honestly thought we'd walk out. My daughter adores their earrings so we keep coming back. The staff were a bit vague about the 3 for £12 signs (same-colour signs, different tills — classic confusion), which annoyed me at first — why leave the old signs up? But the earrings themselves? Lovely. They're lightweight, don't tug at her lobes and hold up to everyday wear — school, after-school clubs, even swimming sometimes (she shouldn't, I know). They don't feel cheap in your hand either, a reassuring little weight and a decent sparkle without being gaudy. Colours stay bright and the clips are firm. So while the shop needs better staff training and clearer pricing, the product feels great and the girl's happy, which counts for a lot. We'll probably shop there again, just double-check prices at the till this time.
Not worth the bother
buy one pair, wear it a few days, check for reactions and discolouring. I’d like them to cover returns for faulty goods and be clearer about materials, then I might give them another go — as it stands, I’m disappointed.
A small worry turned out fine
Lovisa. That’s where we went. The moment I knew I’d made the right call was when my daughter came out calm and actually smiling, holding that little “just pierced” pouch — that was the turning point for me. Staff were straightforward, polite and efficient; not showy, just good at what they do and good with kids. We’d planned to pierce both ears at once, but one ear was done a fraction quicker than the other — three seconds maybe — so there was a tiny hiccup, nothing major, and staff handled it without fuss. The aftercare chat was practical and useful, the small gift set (pillow, spray, bag) felt thoughtful rather than gimmicky. I first heard about the place from clients and then my friend confirmed it, so I wasn’t going in blind. Overall it felt like a sensible choice, a bit of relief when it all went smoothly, and my daughter’s happy face said it all. Would recommend to any parent who’s nervous but wants professional, no-nonsense service.
The pinch that told me
That small prick behind my ear was the clue. I bought a couple of earrings and a nose stud on a sale. They looked fine online. I wear studs every day. To work, in the shower, in bed. Within a day my old piercings, which have been fine for decades, were sore and even bled a little. The metal darkened too. I took them out straight away. Relief was instant when I swapped to proper titanium studs I already had; that was the satisfying moment — no pain, normal again. The nose stud turned out to be too short and the listing didn’t say so. It’s probably a good thing I couldn’t wear it, otherwise it might have caused trouble. Not dramatic, just annoying and avoidable. If you need reliable, everyday jewellery I wouldn’t pick these. Useful for looks maybe, but not for daily wear.
Bit of sparkle, bit of nonsense
I remember standing at the counter, halfway through trying the coral cuff on, thinking "that's actually quite nice", and then noticing the belly bars sitting in the tray, all shiny and light. They feel decent on — not cheap plastic, a nice weight, the kind you forget you've got on after a while. The cuff fits snugly and doesn't slip, which I liked. But while I was paying, two staff were arguing right in front of us about where to put stock, which was awkward and threw me off a bit. Then the whole pricing thing happened. I was told my receipt would be emailed, so I checked online later and my three belly rings matched different, lower prices. In-store I paid noticeably more, and there was an extra charge on the receipt I wasn't expecting for tax. It left a sour taste, because the items are sold as affordable pieces. If you're going in, try them on — they're comfy and look good — but take a picture of the barcode or check the online price first, and ask for a full explanation at the till. I pointed it out to customer service and they asked for an order number before even looking, which felt like passing the buck. A decent product, muddled experience.
Beautiful necklace for a beautiful moment
Have been on the outlook for quality stores where I could purchase my jewelry. My dress is incomplete without some piece of jewelry. It makes my dressing and beauty more pronounced. Discovering Lovisa made my jewelry purchase easier. They have great reviews and quality accessories. I ordered some diamond necklaces and I loved them. It shone beautifully when I wore it with my white gown. It was a perfect match. I wish I could snap the picture to show you what I am really talking about. Would do that next time. Great delivery I must include. Very fast and great customer communication.
