I was standing in the kitchen, phone in one hand, scrolling their site and thinking 'hang on' — headline said 14k gold but the fine print gave away that it was sterling. I had that gut feeling, you know? I almost cancelled straight away. Emails went into a void at first, which didn't help, and yeah, their address felt odd. I did end up ordering a pair of studs for my mum though, and to my surprise the earrings themselves were fine — clearly sterling, stones that look like moissanite rather than proper diamonds, but for the price they shine nicely and she's been wearing them. So my doubts before buying? Totally real. They didn't vanish overnight. But the situation improved: delivery arrived, PayPal sorted a refund on some confusing billing bits, and the seller finally replied after I escalated. Not slick, not perfect, still clumsy and a bit dodgy in places, but I wouldn't call it an outright scam based on my experience — more sloppy and misleading than criminal. If you're picky about real gold or proper diamonds, avoid. If you want a decent-looking gift on a budget and use PayPal, it's workable. Lesson learnt: read the small print, and be ready to chase things up.
Not what I expected, but it ended alright
I saw the jumpers on a mate’s Instagram and thought, why not — they looked cosy. Delivery dragged, though. Had to ping customer service a couple of times to find out where my parcel was. The courier turned out to be one I’d never heard of and the tracking was vague. When the box finally turned up the jumpers didn’t match the photos. Fabric felt thin and the sizing was off. I annoyedly emailed about returns and at first it was all a bit slow, photos back and forth, the usual. Then, and this is the bit that surprised me, someone higher up replied and said they’d sort a proper return, sent a pre-paid label and promised the refund once they’d got the items. That happened — they refunded quicker than I expected and I got a little apology note in the email, which felt sincere. So the moment I knew I was actually satisfied was when the money hit my account and there was no fuss afterwards. Would I reorder? Maybe, but only if they’ve improved the fabric and sizing. Told the friend who recommended them about the hiccup and how they fixed it; she was relieved more than anything.
