Pleasantly surprised by the bedding 2 May 2026

I nearly didn't buy these because I kept thinking online photos and marketing can be misleading — been burned before by so-called "Egyptian cotton" that felt like paper. I also worried the topper would be too hot or the protector too plasticky. In the end I took the plunge and I'm glad I did. The sheets are actually soft and have a proper cotton feel (not that stiff stuff I've had elsewhere), the protector is slim and breathable rather than oven-lining, and the topper adds just enough cushioning without turning me into a different mattress; in fact, my back felt better after a couple of nights. It wasn't perfect from minute one — there was a short break-in bit where the fabric relaxed — but nothing major. Customer service responded helpfully to a small query I had about sizing, so that eased my mind. Compared to past purchases from other firms, this was refreshingly straightforward. If you’re hesitating like I was, I’d say give it a go — just allow a night or two for things to settle.
