I remember pulling the protector off after my husband’s fever and seeing the big brown marks. Proper annoying. We’d bought a king-size protector with a 15-year warranty and used it on our new Hypnos mattress. Washed it exactly as they said. Still, the backing had split and left stains. I rang the company, sent receipts and serials, but they refused the warranty claim and barely answered me — no inspection, no offer to help with a deep clean. That part was infuriating. The moment I felt satisfied came later though, when the cleaner I paid for managed to get the mattress looking almost normal again and we could actually sleep properly. I’m glad the bed was saved, but the product failing and the shabby service left me cross.
