the seller answered quickly when I reported the fault (an internal drum support snapped after about six months — that corrosion issue you hear about). They said repair wasn’t economic and offered an alternative if I paid the difference. Trouble was, the swap options were more expensive and, frankly, worse cosmetically and mechanically than the one I’d bought, so that wasn’t acceptable.
I exercised my consumer right and asked for a refund. Cue radio silence, which annoyed me — total ghosting. After a couple of polite reminders and a brief flirtation with small claims, they finally responded and we got the refund sorted. It wasn’t smooth, and the untouched casing detail still bothers me — felt like they’d just powered it up and called it a day. Still, in the end it was resolved and I’m pleasantly surprised it didn’t drag much further. If you’re considering one of their machines, just be prepared to ask questions and chase things up. It worked out for me, but a little more honesty at the start would’ve saved everyone time.Hole in the tiles, hole in my patience
the concrete weight panel was loose, two screws had backed out and punched through the floor. The bolts I’d removed were still with me; I can show them. The firm’s line? Apparently I’d left the transit bolts in. That’s rubbish.
Customer service has been frustrating — one email a day if you’re lucky, phones that never connect, and the blame game instead of taking responsibility. They’ve flat-out denied liability, which leaves me with a busted washer and ripped tiles (and a sore back from the move, so this matters). On the plus side, the machine did a short empty wash fine so there’s that tiny bit of promise, but it’s not worth the hassle. I’m trying to be reasonable, but I’ll be pushing this further — complaints, escalation, small claims if needed. Mildly annoyed, a bit disappointed, and definitely more careful next time about who I buy from.
