Platform with potential, but a bit clunky

add faster fraud checks and clearer protections for both sides, maybe an escrow step or faster disputes. I’d come back more often if I knew my funds weren’t stuck for weeks. For day-to-day use the site is fine. For running a small business on it, it’s awkward.

    Handy platform, but slow payouts

I’d use Reverb again for buying and selling, but be prepared — payouts can be a real faff. I needed to shift a guitar quickly because we were moving and honestly needed the cash for the deposit, so I listed it and the selling side went smoothly enough. Buying is easy, selling is pretty straightforward, the site works well and people communicate. Fees are a bit on the high side and that annoying "bump" option is a money sink — don’t bother. The main gripe is the payment delay: the buyer received the item a week ago, I should’ve been paid four days back, and still nothing. Support keep telling me there’s a system error, which is just... not great when you need the money. It’s not a dealbreaker yet, more a stress factor, and I’ll be more careful next time. All in all I’m pleased with the marketplace itself but Reverb really needs to sort payouts faster.

Halfway through I nearly walked away

Halfway through adding my card I actually stopped and thought, hang on — do I trust this? I'd had trouble with account closures before at other sites, so I was already a bit wary. That worry turned out to be sensible. The signup felt clunky, and getting any useful customer service was like trying to hold a conversation with an automated plant pot — polite but pointless. I eventually deleted my account (or tried to) and got an email saying I'm 'receiving support for an ongoing issue' — which I'm not — plus a link that goes nowhere. So hours wasted, ID uploaded, and now they say they can't remove my data until some imaginary issue is resolved. The website itself looks fine and listings were okay, so it's not all catastrophic, but the account handling and support let it down badly. Not perfect, not catastrophic — just irritating and a privacy worry.
