Grey Saturday morning, wardrobe panic — my old quilted jacket had a rip. I found the same Ted Baker 'Harrington' on Standout and ordered it to replace the one I use for dog walks and commuting. Price was much better than elsewhere, which made me relax a bit. The site was easy to use, though the search threw up odd listings so I had to look twice. Ordered quickly. Customer service replied promptly when I asked about sizing, which was nice. Dispatch was very fast and it came by Royal Mail Tracked. Packaging was excellent — full-length cellophane, no creases. Jacket's great for daily use. Happy overall, with a small niggle about patchy tracking updates.

True-to-size puffer with proper support

The puffer arrived by Royal Mail and the tracking updates were clear (always a relief). The fabric feels soft but not flimsy, the fill is warm without being bulky, and the cut sits nicely across my shoulders so I can still move and carry a bag without it digging in. There was a small issue with a seam, but the customer team replied quickly by email and sorted a replacement option with no fuss — polite and efficient. It’s nice to find a smaller retailer where the ordering and delivery systems behave like the big names, but the service feels more personal. Overall pleased — comfortable, practical and I’d buy from them again, especially when you need something that won’t aggravate old aches.
Nearly there, then gone
the courier apparently left the parcel in the building hallway without checking with me, and next thing I knew it had vanished. I rang Standout and, to their credit, they answered and were polite; their first replies felt genuinely helpful and I appreciated that, honestly. But as days went by the tone shifted and I was being asked to hang on for a Royal Mail investigation that could take another month. For a small retailer they seemed responsive at first, and at times I thought they might sort it, but I kept having to chase them — and no offer of a refund or replacement came through while I waited. So there's a mixed bag: good price, decent initial customer contact, and a team that replied, but the actual delivery handling and the follow-up process were frustrating. If you’re buying because you genuinely need something (like I did for my back), be prepared to keep an eye on the drop-off and maybe chase them if things go sideways. I’m hopeful they’ll tighten up how they work with couriers, because otherwise it’s a shame — this could be a solid small retailer with a bit more consistency.
