I’m really chuffed with the necklaces themselves, but the packaging and the slow replies let the whole thing down. I ordered three necklaces to give to friends at a small dinner for a milestone birthday — needed something nice because previous gifts had been, frankly, a bit rubbish — and the items are beautiful, unusual and got a proper compliment or two. Problem was they only included one gift box and it was a tiny ring box, not the jewellery boxes pictured on the site. The chain in my parcel looked slightly different to the photos too, so there was that mismatch. I called and emailed right away but their team were on holiday and only came back after the event, so I had to pop out and buy decent boxes last minute which was annoying. They did get back to me, apologised and sent a 10% voucher with an explanation about trying to be more eco-friendly by matching one box per package. I’m all for that, but I wanted what I ordered, not a lesson in sustainability. Still, the necklaces are lovely and I might buy again if packaging and communication improve. No hard feelings, just a hassle.
Small, pretty but fumbled
I opened the parcel in the morning before the party. The necklaces look lovely in the photos and they do in real life too — delicate, a bit dainty, the chain sits nicely and the clasp feels solid enough. First impression was good. They’re lightweight, so they don’t drag when you wear them, and the pendants catch the light in a nice, subtle way. I ordered three as presents and that’s when things went a bit sideways. They only sent two gift boxes, and both were little ring boxes, not the flat necklace boxes shown on the website. Also one of the chains wasn’t quite the same as pictured — the finish and link style looked different up close.
I called and emailed right away but they were on holiday for a week, so no reply until after the event. That was frustrating because I ended up buying substitute boxes at the last minute. When they finally got back to me they offered a 10% voucher, and after I complained publicly they refunded the cost of the extra boxes. They say they’ve changed their policy to be more flexible about gift boxes for environmental reasons. I get the intent, but I ordered specific items and expected matching packaging. If you’re trying for eco-friendly, that’s fine, but tell customers up front or give an option at checkout.
All in all the jewellery itself passed the test — people liked the pieces and they felt special enough to give as gifts — but the ordering and communication could be smoother. It’s not a disaster and they did make amends eventually, but it shouldn’t have taken a couple of public posts to get them to act. I’d buy again, cautiously.
