Unexpectedly decent, despite the delivery mess 23 April 2026

I'm actually fairly pleased — weird, I know. I needed this as a Christmas present for my mum (we're hopeless at planning and that added the pressure), and the item itself turned out lovely — proper good quality, nicer than the photos really suggested. The annoying bit was the courier: EVRI left a photo showing the parcel "left outside" and it was at a different building to ours, panic ensued, I spent a couple of days chasing it and feeling like I might end up with no present. At first I felt like I was emailing a robot — vanilla's replies were a bit samey — but then one person actually took it on, called the local depot and somehow located a neighbour who'd taken it in for safekeeping. Small miracle. Communication could definitely be faster and the whole tracking/map situation was messy, but the product, the final resolution and that human who finally helped made me feel like it was worth it. So yes, a stressful few days, but happy with the purchase overall and might well buy again — just double-check your address and be ready to chase delivery if needed.
