Great look, shaky reliability
I actually liked how they looked straight away — proper attention-grabber on the back of the Ranger. Delivery was quick, parcel showed up sooner than I expected, so that was a nice start. Fitting was straightforward, plug-and-play as advertised. The start-up animation is neat. But then... one side started flickering and eventually went dark while I was driving, and the other stayed on. Tried resurrecting them a few times, worked only if I timed the on switch with the animation — not ideal. Contacting Vland was a drag, loads of messages, little help, and it dragged on for weeks. In the end I bought another set elsewhere to stay legal, which felt like a waste. So, if you want the look, go for it — but be warned on reliability and keep the receipt, and maybe don’t rely on their support.
Fast delivery, shaky support but ended up okay
after fitting the headlights I noticed one of the beams was a bit temperamental and would flicker now and then. I was a bit gutted because I'd been hyped about the look. I emailed their support with photos and a short video — nothing fancy — and they did get back to me. Trouble was, it felt like a slow dance of emails: they asked me to try small tweaks, then another tweak, then another photo, even asked for things I’d already sent. It was a little frustrating and there were moments I thought I’d be left hanging. I won’t lie, I nagged a bit, had to keep reminding them what I’d done, and that felt annoying.
In the end, though, persistence paid off. Once I escalated it they organised a replacement part under warranty. It wasn’t instant, and there were a few pauses where I thought they might ghost me, but they did follow through and sorted the fault — which was a relief. I’d say their communication could be a lot clearer and quicker, but the outcome was acceptable and I appreciated that they honoured the warranty without a fight once pushed.
So, overall: delivery was excellent, packing was solid, ordering was easy. Customer service is hit-and-miss — patient folk might get there in the end, but if you want swift, no-fuss answers you might be disappointed. Price felt fair for what you get. Emotionally I went from excited to a bit annoyed to pleased, if that makes sense. I’d recommend these if you’re willing to chase support a bit, and do keep your photos and videos handy — they’ll ask for them.Unexpected driveway surgery
Wasn't expecting a mini car surgery on my drive. The kit was sold as Plug & Play for my Mitsubishi ASX but extra wiring was needed — included, panels had to come off and back on, it took a while. Three of the four lights fitted neatly; the right outer one needed fiddling. Once fitted, night-time commuting feels a lot nicer, surprisingly bright for evening drives. Annoyingly I ordered within the EU but it shipped from the UK, so customs fees and delays. Good upgrade, but expect to get your hands dirty.
Nice feel, poor follow-up
I was halfway through trying to slot it into the bracket when I realised it wouldn’t sit right. At first it felt solid, decent weight and finish, so I kept hoping it would work, but the measurements were off and it just didn’t fit. I asked tech support and heard nothing. I grabbed a return label within the week, sent it back thinking that would be that, and then only saw about half my money come back with no breakdown. Product feels good, but the returns and communication were messy. Checked reviews — not surprising.
