Started out oddly. The residential ISP proxies actually passed YouTube bot detection, which was a pleasant surprise — I didn't expect that. I set up a Google account, phone verification went through, warmed a new YouTube channel for two weeks in the usual way. Then I posted the first video and it got four impressions. Four. No growth, stuck. To me that looks like a shadowban. I tried to create Facebook and Instagram accounts too. Those sites threw up CAPTCHA, phone checks and even video ID verification. Both profiles were suspended and I lost the appeals. I contacted Dolphin support. Their reply was to tell me to click health status to update the user agent and “try again”. That answer felt like shifting responsibility to me. If crucial anti-detection updates rely on manual clicks by the user, profiles are easily at risk. Delivery of the proxy service itself was fine and prompt, I’ll say that. But customer service didn't offer real solutions. I've had better responses from other suppliers. Not confident to use Dolphin any more. Unfortunately that's enough to put me off.
Mid-install wobble
Started mid-install with two cups of tea in, I noticed fingerprints shifting after an update — a bit daft. Delivery was actually spot on; box arrived quick and as promised. First night testing it seemed fine, but after a relaunch Canvas/WebGL drifted and a site flagged me. Customer service replied slowly but did try. Not perfect, yet usable.
Update roulette cost me an account
I'd be cautious. The app can do the job, but the forced updates make it risky. I use this every day to juggle several social media profiles for my little online shop and for a couple of personal projects. At first it seemed handy — profile switching, session handling, all the usual things. Then one update changed proxy handling. Suddenly connections that had been fine needed SOCKS5 instead of HTTP. That switch messed up routing. Sessions routed through the wrong exit IPs. Some addresses showed up in the wrong location, even though I’d picked the right region. One of my main accounts got suspended right after that, and the suspension runs for years. I was careful, I didn’t do anything dodgy. It felt like being punished for a software change. Support shrugged and pointed at my proxy provider. Not helpful. Logins started failing more often. The browser feels heavier now, and the extension system they use makes me worry it’s actually more fingerprintable, not less. On the plus side, once a small update fixed a crash that had been bugging me for weeks — oddly useful. So yes, there are useful bits, but overall updates break more than they fix. If you rely on it daily, be ready for surprises and keep backups of everything.
