Ended up useful despite seven months of near-silence on my claim — I now use it daily for commuting, cautiously pleased.
Almost gave up
Halfway through sorting holiday chaos I nearly didn't bother hiring them — sceptical, fees looked steep — but they chased the airline and got me compensation, which actually helped pay for the next trip.
Was dubious, turned out fine
I was properly sceptical before I started the claim (who isn't?), but after a delayed flight that messed up my week of commuting for work, they handled the forms, chased the airline and—surprisingly—paid up fast.
Glad I rang the airline
Glad I rang the airline — lesson learnt. A colleague phoned and got paid. I left it with the company for nine weeks travelling for work and it stalled. Use direct contact.
Munich turnaround
Halfway through the chaos at Munich airport, I remembered a mate had recommended Skycop. I was sceptical it’d be worth the faff, but they handled the claim after my eight-hour delay and got compensation — quiet relief, properly relieved actually.
Slow start, sorted in the end
I filed my claim July 2023 and was doubtful — two years of silence. In July 2025 they said airlines approved and, after a nudge, customer service arranged the payout. Slow, but acceptable.
Sorted without the faff
Spotted it on a mate's story and gave it a go — logged in on my phone, sent a flight cancellation claim without printing or scanning. Delivery was speedy and customer service kept me updated (nice touch), glad I tried it.
Not convinced, then surprised
I saw Skycop on a travel forum and nearly ignored it, but a mate advised I try. Was sceptical, like it wouldn’t work, yet a letter arrived saying compensation approved. It took a while, but the money did turn up.
First to claim, last to be paid
I spotted Skycop on a travel forum and, being annoyingly keen, I was the first to submit our claim while on holiday with my parents and sister. I told them to do the same — they’ve all received refunds now, but mine is nowhere to be seen. I’ve emailed and WhatsApped a few times and got... nothing. Bit baffled and a tad miffed; can someone explain why mine hasn’t come through too?
Dodgy handling and useless customer service
they don’t behave like a company that listens. I emailed straight away saying I wanted them to stop because I’d handle the claim myself. Response? Either silence for days, or a letter asserting I was their client because I’d used the checker. No sensible explanation, just paperwork and a refusal to disengage. Their “delivery” of the service — i.e. the claim they say they made — happened without my consent, and then they treated that as a finished product they could charge for. That’s not delivery in any acceptable sense.
Worse, when I asked them to show me the agreement I supposedly signed, they sent a document with a signature that is plainly not mine (and looks computer-generated). So now they’re insisting on a fee for work I didn’t authorise and producing what feels like a forged signature. I don’t know if it’s sloppy admin or worse, but it’s not something you want to deal with.
I liked the idea of the quick check and I was a bit impressed at first (it did look clever), but their follow-up and support let them down badly. If you value clear communication and the ability to opt out, steer well clear — the delivery of their service and the customer support around it are both poor.Sat at the airport, gave it a go
good interface and simple start, disappointing follow-up, but overall worth trying if you’ve got time to nag.
Slow but genuine
chase them now and then, be patient — I'm hopeful it'll sort itself.
