Bought a backpack from them about a month ago. I was meant to use it on a short trip and expected it to arrive in time. First impression of the site was fine and I even got an order confirmation straight away. Then nothing. After two weeks they claimed an "internet outage" and later said the payment provider stopped refunds. Fed up, I started a chargeback.
Long wait, awkward refund
I was expecting a laptop by early November but instead spent most of that month chasing updates. They rang no bells at the warehouse, apparently a third‑party hiccup, so they promised a next‑day upgrade — which never materialised. Emails came back slowly, often the same line, and when I asked for a refund it dragged on with one excuse after another. In the meantime I had to make do with an old machine for work; it was slower, awkward, and I kept shifting tasks around — not ideal. I reported the payment to my bank after about four weeks and that finally pushed things; refund turned up eventually, so I'm relieved about that, at least. Still, the whole experience felt sloppy and time‑consuming. I've used other retailers who handle problems quicker, so that set a benchmark. Not calling it a total disaster because I got my money back, but I won't be ordering from them again.
Not what I expected
I'd imagined this cooker being part of my weekday routine — boiling the kettle, doing dinners, the lot. Instead I bought one on 4 November and I'm still waiting for a refund, so no cooker at all. There's no phone number, emails go nowhere and the place turned out to be a unit on an industrial estate, not a proper shop. Staff were curt and basically ignored me. Oddly the listing and photos looked convincing, which made it worse, but that doesn't help when you can't get your money back. If you end up like me, contact your bank straight away. It's a boring, annoying lesson.
Not worth the hassle, but at least my bank helped
I won't be using them again. I ordered a small replacement charger for my daily commute (nothing fancy, just something to keep in my bag) and the whole thing turned into a proper headache. The invoice said 5–7 working days, then two weeks passed and still nothing. When I chased them they immediately offered a refund, blamed their payment provider (Mollie) and told me it would clear in five working days. That didn't happen. After a further ten days I asked again and they promised the money in 72 hours. Again, nothing. Eventually they stopped replying altogether, so I had to open a dispute with my bank. A few people on forums seem to have had similar experiences, so it's not just me. Oddly, there was no tracking or order page to check — just a reference number they gave once and that was it, which felt off. On the plus side, it didn't derail me — I had a backup charger and the bank reversed the payment, so that's a relief. Still, the lack of communication and the delays were really annoying. Mildly grateful it ended alright, but overall a poor experience and I'd advise caution.
Eventually sorted, but what a faff
I eventually got some movement, but don’t expect a straightforward experience. Ordered from pinntech.co.uk because the price looked good, but it turned into a proper chore. First weird thing — the company details were all over the place, like they’d mashed together different dates and names, and the payment showed up as G TECHNOLOGY LTD on Mollie. No proper phone number, just a random mobile listed on the payment page, which felt odd.
