Mid-commute I realised my phone would survive the day — the replacement battery arrived as notified and slipped straight in. I use it for work calls and maps every day, so that moment of 'safe' felt proper good. Would've liked a charger though, but happy enough.
Screen peeled off
Bought it because I needed a tough, repairable phone after my old one died — mainly for work and maps. Felt all right at first, then the screen started to peel within months. Customer service passed me round and I was left without a phone, quite annoyed really.
Handed it over, survived
pretty happy with it. I handed the Teracube Thrive to my 11‑year‑old after getting fed up with him nicking my phone, and it's done the job — simple app limits, location tracking, calls work fine. Wireless service has been reliable, battery a bit meh and updates slow, but he loves it and that's half the battle.
Worth the idea, shaky follow-through
lightweight, easy to handle. But within a couple of weeks the battery meter started acting up and the phone would shut down much earlier than it claimed. Then a small bump — with a case and screen protector on — and the screen cracked. Ordering the replacement half was straightforward and the part was available, which I liked, though delivery took a bit longer than I expected. Customer service replied to my messages and pushed things along, so that was reassuring. I swapped the screen myself, which is exactly the point of modular phones, but a few months later the replacement screen began to lift and now the phone sometimes reboots from minor knocks. So I’m a bit sceptical but also somewhat relieved the company makes repairs possible; good customer service, shame about durability.
