a named agent finally wrote to say they’d processed a partial refund and offered a modest voucher for the inconvenience. Not a grand gesture. Not everything fixed. But there was a clear, human response. That moment — when someone used a person’s name and actually sorted out some cash — is when I went from fuming to relieved. It didn’t excuse the runaround. It did mean I could book elsewhere next time with a bit more confidence that they would at least reply if pressed. Would I recommend them? Hesitantly, and only if you know how to push. Small relief at the end, but the slog beforehand was real.

one phone call, someone who listened properly, and the claim moved forward (not overnight, but it moved). I’ve dealt with other firms where you chase forever, so I was braced for a fight, but this time it ended up being straightforward enough and I felt properly looked after. Still a bit of a faff with the portal, and I chased a couple of times, but getting that final confirmation and the payout was a proper relief. Grateful it didn’t drag on more — nice when things finally go right, honestly.
