IF your delay was caused by the Airline cancelling a Flight due to weather or a number of other excuses they can excuse under " Force Majeur"..you will NOT get a Refund or a Credit for the Extended Cover you paid for!!
So what cause of Delay beyond that of my own doing is covered??

Paid £424 last year for an annual travel health policy for my wife and I which fortunately we've not had to use. My wife experienced a few heart palpitations in recent weeks and so went to see our GP who suggested some tests as her iron levels were slightly higher than they should be. I dutifully informed Holiday Extras as we are due to be away soon. They wanted to know what the diagnosis was but I could not say at this early stage, only that our Doctor said there would be no reason to avoid travelling.
I was advised that until there was a diagnosis the policy for my wife would be suspended for 'any' type of claim e.g. if she slipped over or was knocked down in an accident even though there may be absolutely no connection to the reason for my call.
I've always been suspicious of insurance companies that will find every opportunity to wriggle out of their responsibilities. In Holiday Extras here is a prime example. Clearly I won't be renewing with them when the policy expires and will look for a more reputable and reliable insurer. You have been warned!
I arrived at the airport carpark after pre-paying through Holiday Extras and my number plate was not recognised. Holiday extras have done nothing at all to resolve the issue. I am facing a huge bill upon my return as I had to park at the airport carpark without a reservation. They have failed to resolve the issue or contact me for going on 5 days now. Disgusting customer service. Stay well away from them
Overbooked hotel? Was notified on the day of check in.
We booked our Heathrow hotel via this company a few months ago. We were flying to Chicago on the 4th.
On the day we were supposed to check in ( 3rd of October) I've got an email at 16.30 that our hotel been overbooked and they moving us down to a different one.
We booked Mercure Heathrow, and they wanted to move us to Holiday Inn Slough.All this was told us in an email.
After speaking with customer service they told us that the hotel been overbooked and we need to move etc. I had to call them, they didn't even bother.
I told them that I booked this months ago and we are going to Mercure, which is only a short drive away from the airport. If i wanted a cheap and far hotel I would of booked something else.
After being on the phone for 30 mins, and getting totally stressed out I was told that they spoke with the hotel and we can go to Mercure.
We turned up at the hotel and it turns our the Holiday Extras rep didn't even call the hotel! The hotel said that we still need to move, Holiday Extras only placed our booking on that day, so of course Mercure was sold out. We booked it in on the end of July, so plenty of notice.
According to front desk there were 25 people who couldn't stay in the hotel because holiday Extras didn't book them in on time.
After standing my grounds, I said to them we not leaving and I want the room I paid for it. Front desk manager managed to get us a room luckily.
I am not happy and definitely won't recommend Holiday extras to anyone.
how this company are still trading is amazing they are without doubt the absolute shit company i have ever dealt with to cut a long story short my car was quite badly damaged and they just told me sorry car left here at owners risk what a load off shit please people do not book with this company they are completely incompitent
Not prepared to offer a refund because I booked a package
Seemed easy to book online...it didn't turn out as planned. Left at Leeds Bradford airport with no hotel booking at 2am in the morning. I was told I'd made an error and booked the wrong date. Even though flight details were given. Had to drive home because there were no spare rooms. Telephoned the next day to get a refund and was told I can't have one. I'm pursuing a refund. Look elsewhere customer service stinks. In the end the woman put the phone down. This firm doesn't deserve any stars.
