Halfway through passport control I was convinced we'd miss the transfer — loads of warnings online had me panicking — but it all worked out. For a small extra fee we hopped on the coach that was just about to leave and the trip to Morzine was easy. On the return the minibus turned up at the flat exactly on time; Chris, the driver, was really helpful. I was sceptical at first, but actually pretty happy. If you're hesitating, it's worth it.
Left waiting in Les Menuires
No bus — that about sums it up. We were at Les Menuires an hour early, no Alpy bus turned up, yet staff insisted they’d called our name at the tiny stop (we hadn’t even arrived then). They didn’t try to fix it and basically left us stranded with a flight to catch. Other companies have sorted mishaps before; this lot showed no interest.
Loo-less on a short trip
02 for a 7:00 departure and drove safely, and actually was helpful when I asked, which was a surprise. Still, with only Saint‑Gervais as a stop until the airport, companies running coaches with loos should check them every trip. Not great, not terrible.
Small bus, big chaos
We thought the transfer would be the boring bit of the holiday — hop on, nap, arrive. Instead it turned into a scramble because Alpy turned up with a smaller bus than we'd booked. Four of our group somehow squeezed in (really, knees touching), made the revised flight after a diversion for a rock fall, while eight of us were left frantically rebooking last-minute seats. It's the hassle that got me, and Alpy refusing to take responsibility so insurers won't pay is worse. On the plus side we found a brilliant airport café and the driver kept apologising, which helped a bit.
Nearly there, then sorted
they apologised properly, arranged a sensible alternative and offered a partial refund for the extra shuttle. Not perfect, but it showed they could sort things when pushed. A quicker heads-up would have helped. If you book to Avoriaz, check the drop-off details in advance and be ready for plan B. Overall I’d go with them again but only if I’ve clarified the route first.
Packed and unsafe transfer
no working seatbelt, a full minibus and a huge detour that turned a one-hour trip into over three hours. We were on the autoroute with no alternative seat and no belt, which was properly worrying. They clearly tried to save cash by cramming everyone into one vehicle instead of two. I was annoyed and a bit shaken. If you're going St Gervais to Geneva, ask upfront about seatbelts and splits before you book. Not great, really.
