I needed a quick renewal of a medical card — not fancy, just the usual annual thing because my last attempt with another provider had been a faff. I booked online, paid the fee and then spent a couple of hours waiting with no clear slot, phoning and getting told someone might ring on Monday. That was annoying — I work, it was the weekend, and their hours didn’t line up with mine. I assumed it was gone wrong and started the refund and bank stuff, half expecting to be out of pocket and cross. Then, late on the same day, a doctor actually called, went through the form, signed it off and confirmed the renewal was done. That was the moment I realised it would be fine — proper relief, nice and simple. Communication could be clearer, and waiting that long isn’t great, but the outcome is what matters. They could sort out availability and be upfront about email access, but the refund option and the eventual callback meant I wasn’t left hanging. So, dry service, some friction, but did what I needed in the end.
All a bit messy
I was halfway through my lunch when the doctor rang and I realised the whole thing had gone wrong from the start. I told him we didn't need the appointment because communication beforehand was so muddled, but later found out they'd still charged me an appointment fee. I phoned to stop that payment and the call felt like a loop of "I understand" but nothing changing. One rep insisted it was for the certification even though there was no visit and no certificate given; another call ended with them just hanging up when I asked for a manager. Then on my last call the agent said her screen wasn't working so she couldn't cancel anything — which just made me more uneasy. The delivery of the service, meaning actually getting what I'd paid for or a prompt refund, was awful. Customer service seemed unsure or unhelpful at best, and at worst quite dismissive. I wanted to ease my anxiety, but this only made it worse. If you're thinking of using them, get everything in writing and chase immediately; that's my tip. Bit disappointed overall.
Not great at first, but it did get sorted
I wouldn't recommend this without caveats — it started badly but ended passably. I tried them a few weeks ago to get a medical cannabis card and my immediate impression was: hmm, this feels more like a sales call than healthcare. I was halfway through the online form when someone insisted on doing it over the phone, interrupting me, rushing me, and generally making me feel awkward. Then the money bit went sour — told one price, charged another (bit over £300 when I was expecting £179), and when I asked why, the rep got defensive, talked over me and pushed odd payment apps (zelle, cashapp, venmo — not the most reassuring list here). That made me suspicious and a little angry, not gonna lie.
However — and this is the reason the verdict is mixed — after complaining I did eventually get a proper callback from a supervisor who actually listened, clarified the fees, apologised and sorted a partial refund. The doctor link and credentials were sent later, receipts arrived, and the appointment went ahead without drama. So, while the start was very rough (gaslighting vibes, interruptions, lack of transparency), the follow-up was competent enough that I wasn't left hanging. My tip: insist on written prices up front, get receipts, and don't let them rush you into odd payment methods. If you go in eyes open, it can work out, but be prepared to push back.
