I’d been told I had dry macular disease and was pretty sceptical about supplements, especially ones sent from the US. After a fair bit of reading I ordered the tablets around 18 months ago. At first nothing obvious — the tablets are easy to swallow and the packaging was fine. I kept testing with the same small print under the same lamp and after about a year things looked a bit sharper. My optician actually said the back of my eye looked clearer, which was a surprise. Would recommend giving it time.
Misleading ad, but refund sorted
it took five emails and two phone calls, and a bit of patience, but once I sent the tracked postage details I got credited within a week or so. Annoying hassle though, and I won’t be buying from an online ad like that again. Check ingredients first, honestly.
A pleasantly surprised find
I was proper sceptical before buying — saw it on my sister’s Instagram and she'd been raving, so I thought, hmm. I hesitated because past supplements promised a lot and did bugger all, but I took the plunge. Took it from September and, truth be told, after a few weeks my confidence about it grew; nothing dramatic overnight, but small steady changes (and I like that). Customer chat was a bit slow at first, someone called JP handled my questions and while there were a couple of hold times, they sorted things out eventually. I'm actually pleased and relieved it wasn’t another dud — glad I tried it. Also grateful for the follow-up call later.
Signs of real improvement
This has genuinely helped me, and I’d say that straight away. I was diagnosed with choroid eremia at 17 and over the years my peripheral vision shrank to about an 8% tunnel. Three years ago my elderly mum, who has macular degeneration, and I decided to try SightCare because nothing else seemed to work. My ophthalmologist used old photos and scans as a baseline. I noticed small changes in the first six months and by the one-year check things were clearly better. My peripheral field is now roughly 13% and my glasses prescription was reduced — my eye team were actually surprised. The same tests were repeated each year, so it’s not just my imagination. I’d tried PreserVision before and didn’t get this kind of result. I’m grateful and relieved, honestly, though a bit anxious now that the regulator has taken it off the market; I’m worried about losing that progress. I’ve recommended SightCare to several family members and would do so again, despite the uncertainty.
Fell for the hype
nothing changed. My near vision, my ability to follow a ball, even walking short distances hasn't improved. The adverts promise 'perfect vision' and dramatic results, but for me the difference was non-existent. I'll be fair: the parcel arrived on time and the packaging was fine, but that's about it. There was a small moment of hope, I won't lie — I wanted it to work — but repeated use didn't deliver. I suspect it's marketed very cleverly; same actors, same lines, different product names. If you rely on this for real, measurable help, I'd be cautious. For anyone like me hoping to get back to sport or to read without strain, don't get your hopes up. If they come with proper clinical evidence I'll reconsider, but till then it's a hard pass.
Half-convinced, half-miffed
the packaging actually looked smart and the tablets were easy to swallow, which I didn’t expect to appreciate so much. Customer service? Slow and a bit fussy when I asked about returns, so those original worries about getting my money back weren’t entirely misplaced. On the plus side delivery was quick and unannoying. Would I recommend it as a miracle? No. Would I say it’s the worst purchase ever? Also no — a few little positives, but the bold claims and dodgy expert stories left me sceptical, and that scepticism mostly stuck.
Halfway through my tea and already annoyed
the story, the credentials, the church testimonials — all of it. I mean, he drops “I’m a Christian” into the script like it’s a magic word and suddenly your guard should be down. Nope. Felt like a sales pitch dressed up as a confession.
I bought a bottle because my eyes have been complaining after too much laptop and Kindle time; tiny font on medicine boxes is a particular enemy of mine and I fancied something to make reading menus at restaurants less of an ordeal. Unexpectedly, the parcel turned up earlier than the estimated date and in tidy packaging — that was a nice surprise and I won't pretend I didn’t appreciate it. So delivery? Points there.
But the aftercare is where things went downhill. I tried to ask a simple question about ingredients and got the usual automated loop — “have you tried restarting?” sort of nonsense, only less witty. When I pushed for a human, I was met with form replies and the kind of scripted politeness that means you’re not going to get anything sorted. Been through this before, twice actually, and the pattern is the same: hopeful at first, then fobbed off, then fuming.
As for the product itself, I can’t honestly say it did miracles. A mild lift in comfort maybe, on days when I also slept well and drank more water — so who knows? There’s no solid data attached that I could find, no proper approvals mentioned, just anecdotes. Still, that prompt delivery and the oddly thoughtful little leaflet in the box were the two unexpected positives that stopped me from binning the whole experience straight away.
Overall, be cautious. If you’re like me and get tempted by those long, believable videos, check for independent evidence and don’t expect much from customer service if you hit a snag.
