Halfway through the wait, I was fairly sure buying direct had been a mistake. ChatGPT had nudged me towards it, saying the warranty might be better than Amazon or Best Buy, though I was unsure. After entering my card details, payment suddenly moved to PayPal and displayed a Chinese company name. That felt dodgy, honestly, and I thought my money had disappeared. Unanswered messages made it worse. I ordered on 27 November and it arrived 16 December, slow compared with other shops. Still, it turned up, which was a relief. I haven't tested it yet, so I can't judge the quality. The whole thing was more stressful than it needed to be.
Still waiting for a proper update
they said they couldn’t access the order system and had passed it to sales. Fair enough, but there was no apology, no explanation for the delay and no actual delivery information. I’m trying not to jump to conclusions, but it’s not a cheap purchase and the lack of communication makes you feel a bit left in the dark. Hopefully someone comes back with a clear answer soon.
Half-working on older Windows
Funny thing — I bought this because I needed a compact display for client sketching and to test tablet drivers, but I almost pulled out at the installer step telling me to turn off my antivirus. As a programmer I just don't do that, so I installed with protection on. On my Windows 7 machine the config software kept throwing errors even after trying every offered driver. Switched to a Windows 10 laptop and hey, it installed and ran fine. So my original doubts about safety were right to stay, but I’m actually pleased it works on newer kit. I won’t disable antivirus, and I’m grateful it functions somewhere, though the testing/compatibility needs work.
Small tablet, big surprise
solid. The keyboard feels proper weighty and tidy, keys have a nice travel and the whole thing snaps together like a little creative laptop. It does make the unit heavier than the bare pad, but I don’t mind — I close it up and it behaves like a normal clamshell. Not flawless though: every so often the keyboard will enter double-letter mode or spit an extra space, which is annoying for long edits. I’m hoping a firmware tweak will sort that. Overall, most doubts evaporated once I started using it on the go; it’s not perfect, but it’s turned into my go-to portable editing/drawing combo.
Fed up with the returns process
Bought a drawing tablet from their UK site and thought it would be straightforward, but it turned into a bit of a saga. The pad itself didn’t play nicely with my usual software (Clip Studio Paint) — a weird stabilisation “feature” makes lines lag and wobble unless you keep settings low, which defeats the purpose. Fine, faults happen, but what really annoyed me was the after-sales. I asked for a refund under my UK consumer rights, sent proof, even recorded the chat, was told I’d get my money back and posted the tablet back. After that the communication went cold. They kept saying “several working days” with no follow-up, no tracking updates, no real answers, and every reply felt like pulling teeth. Delivery and customer service were the big problems here, not just the product. I’ve had bad returns with other firms before, but this felt sloppy in a different way — unhelpful and vague. Bit disappointed; a quicker, clearer process would have made a huge difference. Won’t order from them again, which is a shame, really disappointed.
