compact, straightforward to use and easy to chuck in my bag for trips. After a couple of weeks I did hit a snag — every time I knocked out the puck the double basket would pop out of the portafilter and land in the knock box. It was odd because I’d fitted it correctly and my old machine with a similar style portafilter never did this. I left a message for Casabrews customer service and, to my surprise, got a return call within an hour. The rep listened, escalated it and then emailed to say it looked like a defective portafilter. They asked for my address and sent a replacement portafilter plus new single and double baskets. All arrived within a week. Delivery was prompt and the aftercare was reassuring — professional, clear and actually helpful, which you don’t always get. The machine itself pulls a decent espresso; I started with pre-ground Lavazza and now grind whole beans each morning before mixing my protein powder. It’s become part of the routine on travel days. I’m glad the issue was sorted quickly and that the repairs were handled without fuss. Would recommend if you want a tidy, travel-friendly espresso machine and care about decent customer service and quick replacements.
