£500 wine delivery
My recent wine order of £500 from Waitrose Cellar didn't quite go to plan due to a mix-up with the delivery. I received an email from Waitrose stating that a signature was needed for the delivery, however, the driver just left my expensive wine in the entrance hall of my apartment building, clearly visible from the street. Not only was this a security risk, but it also didn't follow what was instructed. I was actually at home when the delivery was made, but the driver didn't even bother to ring the entry phone or leave a delivery card, which was really annoying. This lack of attention to detail doesn't reflect well on Waitrose Cellar or their chosen delivery service. As a loyal customer who expects top-notch service, I have to say I was pretty disappointed and concerned by this experience.
Waitrose wine delivery
I just wanted to say, have you ever noticed how Waitrose delivery staff are always so lovely and kind? Seriously, throughout the pandemic and even now, every single person who drops off my groceries is just so sweet. It's actually quite impressive how they manage to be so positive, happy, kind, and polite every time. I can't help but wonder what kind of training they must have to make sure they always give such great customer service. And it's not just me who thinks this - loads of my friends and family have said the same thing. I really appreciate how much effort and care these drivers put into their jobs, especially during such a tough time. So, thank you, Waitrose, for really setting the bar high when it comes to customer service.
Rare bottle of whisky
I was really excited to buy this rare whisky from the shop, but I have to admit that I've been let down by my experience with them. They sent the bottle to the wrong address, and it was refused by a neighbour when it was delivered there by mistake. Even after calling them multiple times and asking them to send it to me instead, they didn't listen to me. To top it all off, they told me that the whisky was 'out of stock and discontinued', so I couldn't get it at all. The lack of communication and inability to fix the problem left me feeling really annoyed and disappointed. They offered me a much cheaper bottle instead, but it wasn't the same as the rare one I wanted to give as a gift. Overall, it was a really disappointing experience, and I would warn others to be careful before buying from this shop.
Twelve bottles of wine
I tried to buy twelve bottles of wine from Waitrose Cellar, but I got really annoyed with their online ordering system. I filled out my order three times, but each time it just disappeared into thin air! What a waste of time and effort. I finally just gave up. You'd think a big name like Waitrose would have a better online ordering setup. It's a shame they offer delivery when they can't even handle the basics properly.
Delayed delivery, missing items, damaged product
I wouldn't bother dealing with this company! My delivery arrived late, and when it did turn up, half of my order was missing. I reached out to customer service a bunch of times, but didn't hear back for 5 whole days. And when they did finally reply, they asked for my address, even though I'd already given it in my first email along with my order number. Plus, the part of the order that did make it was all battered. Complete madness!
Weekly shop delivery
Hi Waitrose, I just wanted to say how great you've been during lockdown with your deliveries and top-notch food quality. I'm a bit confused about the recent £3 delivery charge though, especially since there are so many delivery slots available. What's happening with all the extra vans and drivers you have? How about keeping the delivery free and setting the minimum spend to £50 instead? That way, we can all keep enjoying your service without any extra fees.
Fine selection of wines
I recently bought a few wines from Waitrose Cellar and I was really impressed with the range they had available. The website was super easy to use and I found exactly what I wanted without any hassle.
Wine selection
I recently bought something from Waitrose Cellar, and let me tell you, it was a nightmare! Right from the beginning to the end, it was a hassle. The website is so old-fashioned and awkward to use, I mean, it's really difficult to find what you want on there. The search option is useless - it can't even tell the difference between white and red wines, let alone various regions. And don't even mention trying to delete things from your cart - it's so frustrating. When I asked for help, all I was told to do was clear my cookies, like that would magically solve everything. It wasn't until later that they finally admitted there were problems with the website.
When it came to delivering my order, apparently they tried today, but I was in and didn't hear anything. Did they even knock or leave a note?Wine selection
I'm a customer of Waitrose Cellar and I've recently bought some wines from their online store. The website was really easy to use, with loads of different options to choose from. The descriptions of each wine were really detailed, which was really helpful because it helped me pick the right one for me. The checkout process was quick and easy, which made the whole ordering process really smooth and hassle-free.
Wine delivery
I'm a regular customer at Waitrose Cellar and have always been happy with their service and wine selection, but my recent experience didn't quite hit the mark. When my order arrived, only half of it was there, and there was no explanation or contact details included. The delivery driver basically dropped the goods, rang the bell, and dashed off before I even had a chance to answer the door. It was pretty disappointing and unprofessional all round. To make matters worse, I'd had a previous issue with an order that had to be redone due to processing errors. All in all, it's put a bit of a dampener on my view of Waitrose Cellar. Hopefully they'll listen up and work on improving their customer service and order fulfilment going forward.
Online wine purchases
I've always found ordering wine online a bit risky, but I was pleasantly surprised by how easy and smooth the whole process was with this place. The website is simple to use, checkout was a breeze, and I got updates on my order regularly.
Online shopping experience
I had a go at ordering some stuff online from this website not long ago, and to be honest, it was a proper pain. The site was all over the place and wouldn't work properly, so I gave customer service a bell. The response I got was dead insincere, just saying they were trying to sort it out. Didn't really help me out, especially with a delivery due the next day. Honestly, this website is a waste of time, won't be bothering with it again.
Easy Wine Order
The first couple of times I ordered from this place, it was fine, but the last time was a disaster! I ordered my favourite wine online and even though they took the money from my bank account, I never received an email confirmation. I tried calling to inquire about it, but the lady on the phone was really unhelpful and essentially said it was not her concern. They ended up refunding my money and did not honour the promotional offer I used when placing the order. It was a complete shambles!
Champagne mix-up
I ordered two cases of champagne from this place, but they really messed up. They took my money and sent me some ordinary wine instead. I tried to fix things by giving them a call, but it was a complete disaster. They kept sending the wrong orders and couldn't even collect the items correctly. Now I'm stuck with wine I didn't ask for and still haven't received a refund.
Gift for Dad
I bought my Dad a lovely bottle of wine for his birthday from an online shop, but it took forever to arrive. They didn't even apologise or offer me a refund for the delivery delay. It's just not cool.
wine, out of stock, less expensive alternative
I had a bit of a letdown with my online wine order from Waitrose Cellar recently. About two weeks back, I ordered a particular wine but they were out of stock. Instead of letting me know and giving me a refund or another option, they sent me a cheaper wine as a replacement, yet still charged me the original price. What made it worse was that the original wine was still being advertised on their website, even though they knew it wasn't available. This kind of dodgy behaviour isn't what I'd anticipate from a well-established company like Waitrose.
Case of wine
I thought I'd treat myself to a case of wine from Waitrose Cellar, expecting a prompt delivery so I could enjoy a glass or two in the evening. Sadly, it turned into disappointment when the delivery didn't arrive on the promised day. After checking the tracking info, I found out it wouldn't be delivered at all due to damage. I emailed my frustration to Waitrose but haven't heard back yet. When I phoned customer services, they made me feel like I was the one causing a problem. A pretty bad experience overall that's left me with a sour taste.
Online wine purchase
It's clear that making money is the main goal for this online wine shop, deciding to close down the Enfield fulfilment centre just to cut costs. They're all about increasing profits and lowering expenses, without thinking about how longer delivery distances might harm the environment. Next time you're enjoying a glass of wine, think about the pollution caused by getting it to your door.
Various wines and spirits
I recently made a purchase from Waitrose Cellar, and to be honest, I was really disappointed with the service overall. Ordering was a bit of a pain, as the website was not very user-friendly. Plus, the prices were on the steep side compared to other stores. Even after paying for my order, it never arrived, and I was left empty-handed. That's just not on, especially around Christmas time when things are busy. And the excuse they gave for not delivering my order was not convincing at all. I also noticed some recycled food in the prepared meals section, which was a bit concerning. I expected better from a place like Waitrose.
Limited edition whiskies with special presentation boxes
I bought two limited edition whiskies from Waitrose Cellar not long ago, and they came in fancy presentation boxes. However, to my disappointment, when the package arrived, I saw that the boxes were not packed well and had creases because they weren't protected properly during transit. Moreover, there was a small bottle of Tia Maria in the box that seemed to have caused some damage to the whisky boxes. I tried contacting customer service about the issue, but all I got was an automated response with no real help. The packaging and customer service were quite lacking, especially given the expensive nature of the items I bought.
