I was a bit sceptical before buying. Started using it last term and at first I wondered if it matched our level. The site’s tidy and there’s loads of choice. Weekly progress updates convinced me — it’s doing the job, mostly.
Lockdown lifesaver
Mid-lockdown, handing the laptop to my daughter felt like a relief — she was year 6 then and actually liked the tasks. When GCSEs loomed we went back to it. Interface feels clean, using it is quick, parent updates useful. I was a bit sceptical at first, but it won me over.
Not as stressful as I feared
Honestly, I was a bit sceptical before signing up — worried it'd be another stressy maths platform schools push — but after a week I was pleasantly surprised. I bungled the account setup at first, my bad, and support sorted it within hours. Would've liked clearer sign-up steps though, but overall it's useful and calm.
Nearly convinced
I was pretty unsure at first — worried it would be too techy or my granddaughter wouldn't take to it — but a mum in a homeschooling Facebook group recommended EdPlace so I gave the free month a go. She's actually hooked on the exercises and I can check progress most days. The site is a bit clunky sometimes and we've hit the odd glitch, but support are quick and genuinely helpful. Not perfect, but it's working well enough that I'm thinking of switching to a yearly plan.
Patchy service, poor support
the system issued work dated three years earlier than it should have been. They told me it was something my son had allocated to himself and basically weren't interested. I have screenshots to prove the issued dates. When the service was down I expected at least a partial refund. No luck, no refund, no apology, no renewal discount. Parts of the service functioned okay, just patchy. My advice: take screenshots, push for compensation, and I hope they sort their support out soon.
Rainy start, happy finish
I almost didn’t sign up. I kept thinking, do we need another online thing to manage? My son gets enough to do, and I’ve been burned before by platforms that promise much and deliver bloat. Anyway, we tried Edplace and, to my surprise, most of my worries faded. It’s straightforward to use. Tasks make sense. Questions follow on neatly so he can work on his own, which is what I wanted — independent learning without me hovering. That said, the automatic tasks that Edplace sometimes assigns are a pain. He ends up scrolling through edplace stuff and my parent-assigned work. I wish families could delete or switch those off, it really messes with our flow. Also the search isn’t clever enough; I had to rummage to find “year 8 fractions” instead of typing it and getting it straight away. Still, assessments are solid and helpful. I’m properly glad we found it. Worth the money, and I’d like more topic-by-topic checks so we can tick things off properly.
Home learning support
I've just started doing some home learning with my 12-year-old daughter and I have to say, the English, Maths, and Science topics provided by this service are really good. The daily assignments are useful for checking our answers and keeping track of how we're doing. And I especially like the weekly updates, they're a nice touch.
11+ exam preparation resources
We are super pleased with the 11+ exam preparation resources we got from this company. Our son David has really stepped up his game in his studies, all thanks to EdPlace's fantastic resources and tutoring sessions. We left it a bit late in the year to start preparing for the exam, and we honestly felt a bit lost until we found this company. The materials were well-organised, interesting, and perfectly suited to David's needs. The tutors were really knowledgeable and gave him the specific help he needed, which played a big part in David doing so well. Overall, we're really impressed with the top-notch service and support provided by this company.
Education support platform
I love using this online site to help me with my schoolwork. It's really helpful for learning maths, science, and English. Sometimes there are a few issues, for example, there was an English exercise I did that still hasn't been marked. Additionally, the maths questions can be tricky because if you input a decimal, it's marked as wrong! I reckon they should include more videos to assist with the lessons, but overall, it's a great tool for learning.
Online learning platform for children
As a parent, I've been really impressed with this online learning platform I recently got for my kid. It covers a lot of subjects and lets them take tests online to improve. I'd definitely suggest it to other parents who want to help their kids learn, even if they're homeschooling. I get emails with their progress and scores regularly, which is a great way to keep up with how they're doing in their learning.
Educational tool, easy to use
I've got to say, this educational tool has made a huge difference for my son. He actually likes using it more than other ways of learning, which really says something. The interface is easy to use, and the explanations given when he gets a question wrong really help him grasp the topics better. I've seen a big improvement in how quickly he's learning and understanding things since he started using this platform. I would definitely suggest it to other parents wanting to help their child learn better.
Educational activities for homeschooling
The activities have been so beneficial for my daughter who has been homeschooled for two years. She's been doing really well, getting 70-80% consistently, which is fantastic for boosting her confidence. With loads of activities to choose from, there's something for everyone. I highly recommend it for other homeschooling families.
Perfect solution for homeschooling
I thought it would be best to homeschool my 15-year-old and wanted some additional support with their education. I found this website that ended up being just what we needed! It made it simple for my child to keep learning and the resources were really useful. I would definitely suggest it to anyone in need of home learning materials.
Home school educational content
The educational content we got was top-notch for homeschooling. It was really flexible and fit perfectly with our home learning timetable. The reports and assessments were great for keeping track of how we were doing and finding out where we could do better.
Online education platform
This online education platform has really changed the game for my daughter as a homeschooler. The instant feedback from teachers on her answers has been so helpful in keeping her interested and motivated. She can sometimes be a bit unsure about learning, but EdPlace has somehow sparked her curiosity and spurred her on. I can't stress enough how impressed I am with the service provided by this platform. It has genuinely made a big difference to my daughter's education.
Online educational platform
I thought I'd give this online learning platform a go for my son, as he preferred it over other options. Although I liked the more mature and less flashy style, I noticed that it sometimes has trouble explaining things clearly. Moreover, it doesn't seem very responsive when it comes to fixing errors. Despite these issues, I think the platform's straightforwardness should be mirrored in its pricing.
Educational app recommendation
The educational app my child is using has really impressed us. We tried out a few different apps, but this one stood out as the best. My child really likes that it's fun and not dull. One thing we particularly like is how it shows why answers are wrong, so my child can learn from them. We'd definitely suggest this app to any parent wanting to improve their child's learning.
Online educational resource
My kid is really struggling to understand the questions, even after trying several times. The auto-assignment feature isn't doing what I hoped, and the customer support isn't very helpful. It's really confusing to get around the website and find the right work to give. It's been a stressful experience for both my child and me, which is making it tough to keep using the platform. I've already paid for a year's subscription, but I'm not sure if it's worth carrying on with.
Educational app review.
The educational app is really great and simple for parents and students to use. It provides a lot of materials in all 3 subjects, with clear examples and explanations that make it easier to understand important concepts. One thing that could be better is if the app could show which tasks a child has already finished automatically. This would make it easier to see what still needs to be done without having to search through a long list. However, this small problem doesn't detract from how good the app is overall.
Home learning tool
As a parent, I've found the home learning tool really helpful for my child. It's easy to use and gives me useful feedback which helps me see where my child is doing well and where they need a bit of extra support. I like how it makes it simple to spot areas that need more focus and I can easily set tasks to help them learn better.
