Don't buy from Aova — I'd avoid it. I saw their scooter on the website after a mate mentioned it, and I warned him off. Battery bay leaked, connectors corroded and rusty, screws won't tighten once you open it, and the electrics failed. Tried to contact support but got no reply. It's annoying, a waste of money, and a hassle to fix, really.
Wrong colour, same good ride
I'm pleased with the scooter itself, but annoyed I got a black one instead of the white I ordered — again. The thing rides great and feels solid, which is why I keep buying despite the problems. Customer service was slow and not very helpful. Next time I'll call before ordering, just to be sure — a bit of a faff.
Not great on delivery or replies
Got a scooter that looked battered when I opened it — screen scratched in the basket and the headlight cracked. Tried the online chat and emailed but barely got a reply. Delivery felt rushed and customer service was useless, honestly a disappointment.
Brief buzz, then bust
He absolutely loved whizzing about on this — felt sturdy, handles nice and it got up to speed quickly. Then, five weeks in, mid-ride you could hear a creak and the frame just snapped, can you believe it? Proper gutted — his birthday present, £200 down. Still glad we had a few weeks of fun. I'm used to poor aftercare from others but getting help here has been a faff, images wouldn't upload.

Was sceptical, but it's been ace
I was proper unsure before buying — loads of mixed stuff online, so I hesitated. Eventually I ordered a compact electric scooter to get to the station and run errands. Delivery took a couple of days longer than they'd said and I checked my bank a few times, but once it arrived it was exactly what I needed. Feels sturdy, folds down neat and I use it every day now. Support replied quickly too, so my worries faded.
The oddest delivery story
nearly a month after ordering someone near my home rang to say a scooter had been left in their garden — in Leicester — and a card was pushed through our door. Fortunately the parcel had my number on it, otherwise it’d be who knows where. My son ended up spending about £50 on a train ticket and £40 on a carry case to collect it. So yes, the product is fine, but delivery was a faff and communication could be a lot better.
