Overall, I’d happily buy from CFS again. My sister spotted this metal sideboard on their site when we were comparing storage for my back room, and the price was noticeably lower than anywhere else I checked. It wasn’t instant delivery, which I knew going in, but the stock updates and delivery messages meant I never had to chase them. The unit arrived in the agreed slot and looks much better in place than I expected. There’s a tiny mark inside a cupboard, nothing serious, and it feels solid. Staff were easy to reach too.
The shelf that never earned its keep
By the time I was photographing the second faulty shelf back in its box, this had become a rather dull hobby. The first unit arrived with a factory fault, then, after a three-week wait, its replacement had peeling laminate too. I reported it within the hour and sent every photo requested, including proof it was repacked. Now collection is apparently another ten days, with the refund arriving seven days after that. So it’ll be nearly two months before I see my money again. The shelf never even got to hold a book.
Delivery promise did not match reality
Six weeks for a supposedly available sofa was enough. The site gave a five-to-seven-day estimate, but updates only appeared after I chased by phone. First I was told it was due the following week; later it turned out to be held in a container. Meanwhile the same delivery promise was still showing online, which was hard to square. I have had delayed orders elsewhere, but usually someone lets you know without being asked. The only genuinely efficient part was eventually cancelling. Even that refund was said to be processed over the weekend, then arrived roughly a week later. The apology was welcome, though by then it felt rather late.

Nearly wrote them off

Finally here, but meh
the panels feel weighty, the paint's matte and not too fussy, rails glide smoothly though one drawer nips at the end and a hinge squeaks if you slam it. It sits well in the bedroom and holds my winter coats fine. Happy to have it, annoyed at the wait — mixed feelings, really.
