    A bit of a saga, but glad I stuck it out

    I’ll be honest — I nearly didn’t buy. The pictures looked great and the price was tempting, but I’ve been burned before by online furniture sellers, so I had my doubts. I went for it anyway and ordered a table and six chairs, thinking worst case I’d send something back. First impressions were fine when the delivery arrived, but then I spotted one chair that was twisted and clearly not right. That was annoying, I won’t lie, and it made me think the quality checks had been a bit lax. I reported it and, after a few emails, Lewis apologised and promised a replacement. That started a long back-and-forth and some waiting — I chased up a couple of times when dates were missed and didn’t always get prompt replies. At one point I felt a bit ignored; a couple of my public comments on social media were removed which rubbed me up the wrong way. Anyway, after persevering I had a proper phone call and the replacement chair was sent from a full set as they’d promised. It did take longer than I would have liked and the communication could be clearer, but the replacement eventually arrived and it matched the rest of the set. The finished look is really nice and the table and chairs are comfortable; they’ve settled in well in our dining room. So, was it worth the hassle? Overall yes — the product itself is good and reasonably priced, and once the problem was escalated it was resolved. Could the company improve logistics and customer updates? Definitely. I’d say don’t expect a perfectly smooth ride, but if you’re patient and follow up, you can end up with a decent set. I’ll use them again, but I’ll keep a closer eye on delivery dates next time.

    A decent buy, with a bit of faff on the way

    the site showed in stock but our chosen colour wasn’t, and that threw the timescales out. We’d planned holidays around the week quoted so it became a bit of a faff, delays stacked up, and yes, some of that was on us too for being away. Communication was mainly by email and Lewis at Rattan Direct was really helpful — kept us updated, adjusted the delivery slot and made sure someone would be home. That customer service made all the difference, I’ll be honest. If I could offer one tip to others: double-check stock or ping them before you order if timing matters. Price felt fair for the quality. All told I’d buy again, just be ready for the possibility of a slow delivery window and rely on their team to sort it if things go sideways.

    Finally some progress, but don’t expect smooth sailing

    I’m oddly glad this dragged on because at least it forced proper replacements — eventually — but it’s been a right palaver. I ordered a couple of rattan sets late spring and, while everything did turn up in the end, a lot of it was wrong or damaged and getting anyone to actually own the problem was slow. So conclusion first: it wasn’t brilliant, but things moved forward and I’m relieved some bits are being fixed. Now the why.
    I had a Monaco-style daybed and a Cambridge dining set, supposedly in Black & Vanilla. Delivery arrived — that was on time — but nearly everything was off. Cushions came all white with black trim, not the vanilla I’d chosen, one coffee table had a shattered glass top and the other table’s suction thing that keeps the glass in place didn’t work, so the glass just sat loose. The dining table also had the rattan weave coming undone on the surface, which was annoying. I spoke to customer services on the day, ended up talking to someone called Sandra, and emailed a list of issues straight away.
    After that it became a bit of a daily nudge to get any replies. I don’t mind chasing, but when you get told it’s another department’s fault or that systems aren’t showing things, you start to lose patience. They did send a replacement table later — which arrived damaged — and then a different colour (grey) despite my order saying black. If I hadn’t checked, they wouldn’t even have realised the replacements had been dropped off. The replacement cushions did come, but again not the colour I’d ordered, so we’re still waiting on that to be right.
    On the plus side, the company has arranged collections of the wrong items and said replacements are on their way, though the timescale is long — we’re talking months from the original order. I’ve been kept waiting in the living room with sealed boxes for weeks, which is inconvenient, but at least the situation is being dealt with now, slowly.
    If you’re after rattan, there are plenty of other options and if I could do it again I might pick someone else. Still, a tip: be persistent, keep emails and photos, and be prepared to chase — it’s not all hopeless, just not slick.

    Garden surprise, messy delivery

    delivery turned up almost two months late, and we didn't get the promised delivery window or any notification, so someone was home by luck. The courier dropped the boxes on the footpath despite asking for them to be left on the property, which blocked the pavement. Customer support wasn't great either — the chatbot only looks for keywords and calling the number listed gave no answer. Promotional covers were missing and I haven't unpacked all the boxes yet. So far product seems fine, but the service left me disappointed.

    Garden table and chairs

    Ordered and selected a delivery date, took a day off work but no delivery. Phoned customer services who stated there was no delivery today and they could not give me another date. Cancelled the order, and they stated I would be refunded within 10 days - no refund came. Made a complaint and they blamed too many people cancelling orders and I would have to wait another 10 days. Waited another 10 days and still no refund. Just contacted my credit card company and action fraud.
    PLEASE DO NOT EVER ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY

    Outdoor furniture table and chairs

    I've bought outdoor furniture from this company a few times over the years and have always been happy with the quality. The Rattan they use is much better than cheaper options, and the cushions and other accessories have always held up well. Recently, I splurged on an £800 table and two chairs, and they were top-notch as expected. Although there was a little delay with the delivery, the company kept me updated every step of the way and even made up for the inconvenience. Overall, my experience with Rattan Direct was fantastic, and I'd like to thank them for their exceptional service once again.     Outdoor furniture purchase

    I recently bought some outdoor furniture from this company. I usually like to see and feel things in person before buying them, so I was a bit unsure about getting furniture online at first. But, after doing my research, reading reviews, and checking out the company details, I decided to go for it. I talked to a really helpful salesperson who gave me all the info I needed to make my purchase. The ordering process went really smoothly, and I got an instant confirmation of my order. The logistics team kept me updated on when my delivery was scheduled, and on the day, they called to let me know it was on its way.     Garden furniture purchase

    Ordering the garden furniture was really simple, but there were a few problems with the delivery. They couldn't deliver it on the day I wanted, and to make matters worse, they only brought three out of the four boxes at first. Thankfully, they did eventually bring the fourth box on the same day, although it took a bit of bother. I have to say, though, the furniture was packaged really well - each cushion was wrapped up on its own in plastic. The quality of the furniture and cushions is actually really good, and I'm grateful they included covers for easy storage. Despite the delivery mix-ups, I'm happy with what I bought and can't wait to relax in the garden once the weather perks up.

    3 seater sofa with weatherproof cover

    I'm really disappointed with the way the communication and delivery time has been for my purchase. I ordered something back in early April, expecting it to arrive in April, but I didn't hear anything until I decided to ask. Every time I asked about a delivery date, it kept getting delayed. I just think the lack of communication is really not on.
