Avoid Flooring Superstore (Romford)!
...Poor quality yellowed discoloured grey flooring delivered...
...Refused refund as they said it was an ‘acceptable batch variation’ and stated that it DID NOT HAVE TO match their in-store sample or website pictures! ...
...Aggressive and unprofessional fitters laid laminate amateurishly and damaged ceiling...
...Refused to send anyone who could authorise a refund to the house ‘due to insurance reasons’ and ‘repriced’ the returned items...
After weeks of Flooring Superstore denying that anything was wrong with the unprofessional installation and defective yellowed flooring they laid - we have we have just received a partial refund on the £10,700 we paid to Flooring Superstore Romford for unprofessional fitters and DREADFUL QUALITY upstairs laminate and downstairs ‘premium’ Evocore brand LVT (which was also returned due to its poor quality).
The upstairs supposedly grey laminate flooring was YELLOW where it had not been stored properly or was a faulty batch – despite photographic evidence of the unacceptable colour Flooring Superstores Head Office said this was due to ‘acceptable batch variation’ and refused us a refund on the 18 packs that were laid - despite admitting that it was different to the samples in-store!
We were forced to stop the fitters halfway through the job because it was so obvious that there was an issue with the poor quality of their work and attitude, as well as the faulty laminate product itself otherwise they would have charged us for the whole job!
The manager from the Romford Store - as well as a member of his team agreed the flooring was unacceptable and a defective pattern and colour and completely different from the samples in store and on their website and that the fitters work was WHOLLY UNACCEPTABLE (recordings taken) – however Head Office ignored them and incredibly stated that ‘neither the fitters nor the store staff are in a position to determine whether the product is defective’!.
Flooring Superstore refused - despite many invitations - to send anyone to our property to verify that the flooring is faulty due to their ‘insurance policy’ despite Romford Flooring Superstore’s manager advising us that he had conducted previous site visits! This was obviously to dodge the reality that the product was substandard and should be fully refunded.
The unprofessional fitters dropped packs of flooring damaging the ceiling below which incurred an extra £400 cost from builders to fix the damaged plastering. The fitters were aggressive and combative to our builder after he asked them to stop dropping the packs as they were damaging the ceiling. I’m sure Romford store will say that they do not use those fitters anymore...
...WARNING... their LVT Evocore requires a completely flat latexed screeded floor or cannot be installed properly and will quickly come apart! DO NOT BUY THEIR EVOCORE UNLESS YOUR FLOOR HAS BEEN LEVELLED BY A PROFESSIONAL FIRST!
The LVT stock we received was also poor quality and broken out of the pack so this was also returned.
The delivery was left on the drive outside our property when nobody was there at 7am and could have easily been stolen or damaged by the rain – we were charged over 80 GBP for delivery (which they keep quiet until you are at the til!) and also charged delivery for the returned stock!
Take this as a warning and stay well away from Flooring Superstore!Carpet purchase
I was really pleased by how chill the sales staff were when I went to the store. They let me wander around without bothering me, but were there to help when I needed it. They gave me a quote and then put me in touch with someone to fit what I was buying. They also emailed me an invoice and gave me a week to think it over. It was a really nice and easy experience overall.

New flooring for my bedroom
I recently ordered some new flooring for my bedroom and I was really pleased with the service I received from the store. They didn't try to pressure me into purchasing any additional items, which I really appreciated as I don't like feeling pressured. The delivery was speedy and they kept me informed about when to expect my flooring. The two gentlemen who installed the flooring were friendly and efficient. I would definitely give them a 5-star rating!

I recently bought some flooring from this shop and I was really impressed with the service and products they had. There was a guy called Shane who helped me out a lot, making sure I picked the right thing for me. The delivery came quickly and the driver was really nice and helpful. I was really pleased with the communication and customer service from the company, even though there was a small hiccup with the delivery truck breaking down. They kept me updated throughout the whole process, which I found really helpful. The carpet arrived the following day as they said it would, and I even got a call 10 minutes before it arrived to make sure I was ready for it.
Bathroom floor tiles
I happened to stumble upon Flooring Superstore while on the hunt for some click & lock floor tiles for my bathroom. And let me tell you, this place has a fantastic selection of top-notch tiles that went above and beyond what I was hoping to find. Not only did I manage to get exactly what I needed, but the customer service was also exceptional. Even my plumber was impressed with the quality of the tiles I got from here. I am extremely happy with my experience and would absolutely suggest this place to anyone looking for quality tiles.
Carpet purchase
I bought a carpet from that shop not long ago and I have to admit I was really impressed with how everything went. Ordering and delivery all went really smoothly and quickly. They had a good variety of carpets to choose from and the prices were very reasonable. The delivery arrived on time and the driver was really nice and helpful. The staff at that place were really helpful and friendly when we were choosing our new flooring for the house. We managed to get everything we wanted quickly and it arrived on time, which was great. However, we were quite surprised to find out that there is a fee for returning any extra flooring we bought. They really should have mentioned that before we made the purchase! Lino purchase
I bought some lino from this company not long ago, and although the product was decent, I wasn't too chuffed with how long it took to arrive. I placed my order on the 6th of June and was told it wouldn't show up until the 19th, which is almost a two-week wait. Even though I shelled out for courier delivery, turns out they only use their own delivery folk, so I had to wait longer than expected.

Carpet purchase, great service
I bought a carpet recently and had a fab time with the service at this shop. Morgan at the Crewe store was really helpful and gave top customer service. They got the carpet to me fast and it arrived on time as they said. Morgan even suggested a local fitter, who did a fantastic job. All in all, it was one of the best shopping experiences I've had in a while. The service here was way better than other local shops I've used before.
