If you go on holiday, there are a lot of things that can go wrong. You might get into an accident, lose your valuable items, get ill or other forms of bad luck. And it does not even need to be your own fault. Even if you are careful all the time and watch your items and surroundings like a hawk you can never be sure that the airline company won’t lose your luggage, you won’t be robbed or ill and that nobody will want to hurt you. Therefore it might be wise to take out an insurance policy. But which insurance policy should you choose? One of the companies that offer travel insurance policies is Big Blue Travel Cover. But are they the best choice? Is the premium that they ask worth their cover? Will they even pay anything at all, or do they come up with some small print so they won’t have to? That is what customers that have already taken out a policy at Big Blue Travel Cover can tell you. The opinions and experiences that they describe in their reviews can help you decide whether Big Blue Travel Cover might have the right policy for you.

Before taking out insurance Firstly, before you take out insurance, you should consider answering the following questions. If the insurance company is an independent agent or an insurance company?
Secondly, you should research the company's history and reputation. And reading online reviews is a way to find out more about their consumer satisfaction.

I took out an annual travel insurance policy in Feb 2020. I looked for them for a refund for a villa and despite many emails I could not get through. I viewed their policy onlince which does not cover covid and have asked them for a refund of my policy as it is not fit for purpose. I have still todate had no contact. WOULD NOT USE AGAIN!
I do realise problems companies are having to date ,however after emailing 6 times, telephoning to be told we get back to you in 72 hours this is two weeks and after reading reviews which I should have read earlier. It seems this is not because of the Covid situation we are having but how they run their business .this is one company I will never use again.Communication is obviously not their forte
Do not use this service. I had an annual policy which was due to auto-renew on tyre 18th of March 2020 and I was notified 21 days before renewal to give me the option of not renewing. I tried to phone them 5 times and never had the phone picked up, I tried to cancel online as instructed but it never works so you can't cancel. I e-mailed them 3 times on the e mail address indicated in their web site firstname.lastname@example.org and asked them to confirm they had received my e mails, they never did! This morning, the 19th of March 2020 I received my new certificate online and £39.50 has been deducted from my bank account. I have lost 2 jobs this week due to coronavirus and this is extremely unhelpful and distressing. They are designed never to enable you to cancel your policy whatever means you try and I will never use them again and ~I advise you not too either!
I had an accident whilst on holiday in Dubai that wasn't my fault that resulted in fractures to my ankle, foot and a torn ligament. I am still in a cast boot 8 weeks on and my business has suffered big losses as I cant do my role. Big blue refused to pay many of the out of pocket expenses I incurred, all they would cover was the cost of the medical treatment minus the £99 excess. Also my varifocal glasses were smashed so I had to buy replacement ones, however they will not pay the full cost of my glasses, have taken money off for wear and tear and also taken the excess of £99 off me again, so i have paid this excess twice, totalling £198! Apparently I can't claim for personal accident as I am not dead and have not lost a limb!?! Two months on and I am still in a cast boot, my business has lost loads of revenue and I am still in much pain. It has also taken them 2 months to settle this claim. Dreadful service, won't buy insurance from them again
