Post Office Travel Insurance is Best Travel Policy option right now in town
They are highly trustworthy. Known to quite efficient and projective with their work. There is very good word of mouth out there regarding these guys. Offer quite better offers, sometime you may find better around others but trust, realiablity and history is something you cannot get anywhere else. Go for POST OFFICE travel insurance. These guys help with everything. Assistance is really great, educating actually, transparent as well.
Post Office Travel Insurance is appalling. Rude and aggressive staff on the phone (when you can actually get through to someone), they are also slow beyond belief and incompetent. I will never use them again.
Dont touch PO travel insurance with a barge pole. Refused refund due to Covid19 as they state that the cancellation was due to govt. action. Although it is sold as Post Office the insurers are a German company. 0 out of 10
AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Paid for an annual Premier policy in September 2019. Rang Post Office insurance this morning to check whether my family and I would be covered in the following circumstances on a trip to Rhodes in Greece next week (24/08/2020). At the time of writing this, Greece is on the exempt from advice against ‘all but essential’ international travel list for context.
a) in case of cancellation on FCO guidance? b) in case of the requirement to quarantine whilst on holiday? c) if we test positive prior to flying to Greece?
The answer I got was that the insurer would not cover any insurance claim arising from a pandemic. I asked the lady on the phone to direct me to the page and location of this advice on my policy document - she could not. Couldn't speak to a manager and had to raise a complaint. I asked when I would get an answer to my complaint - they would not specify as to when this would be dealt with! Have raised an urgent complaint with the FOS (Financial Ombudsman Service).
Terrible customer service. They make it very hard to contact them (especially during the Covid-19 pandemic). I had to cancel my holiday as I have an autoimmune disease and am at higher risk. When I finally managed to get through to a human being, they refused to refund me. I would not recommend the Post Office as a travel insurance provider. They quite obviously value profit ahead of customer service.
I booked a holiday with Thomas Cook a few months ago, purchased the travel insurance through the Post Office. Terrible customer service they wouldn't refund me the cost of the insurance as Thomas Cook had gone through. Don't even bother taking out insurance with this lot.
I bought travel insurance from the post office on line and I went to log in to my account and could , I call help line and was told the reason I could not log in was because I made a mistake with a date on the online form which I agreed with they put the mistake right and charge me £18 plus pence which I think was way to much.
