Very great way to save money

    Straightforward and convenient process

    I was really surprised at how simple it was to get a quote and buy my travel insurance. The website just needed the key details at first, so it was easy for me to decide whether to carry on or not. It was nice not to be overwhelmed with loads of unnecessary questions like some other companies do. Also, the website didn't have any annoying glitches that made the whole process frustrating or slow. The quotes I got were really good and better than what I'd found elsewhere. All in all, a smooth and quick experience that I was grateful for as a customer.

    As someone who's been back a few times now, I have to say the staff were really helpful and knew their stuff. They made everything simple, which was great because I'd used them before. I've not had to actually make a claim yet, so I can't say anything about that, but all in all, it was a good experience.

    Travel insurance card decline

    I was so angry when the bank told me my debit card was declined for travel insurance. I went into the bank all ready to give someone a piece of my mind, but turns out it was actually the travel insurance company's fault. After a bit of a heated discussion on the phone with them, we managed to sort it all out in the end.

    The customer service was really good, but I couldn't get insurance on my first phone call because the medical team had finished for the day. I phoned again later and the same lady picked up the phone the next day and she sorted everything out very quickly. Plus, the price was quite fair as well.

    Recently, I had a bit of a nightmare dealing with a travel insurance company when I needed to claim for my lost and battered suitcase. It was in a right state - wheels missing, cracked, tags gone, and clothes ruined inside. To make matters worse, the airline wasn't much help.     Is Avanti offering a 3 month extension to existing policies or a partial refund as I/we have be unable to use/have cover since January 2020 therefore have a current policy which we are unable to use
