Halfway through a five‑hour retouch I noticed something odd — the pen hadn’t faltered once, and I realised I was actually relaxed about the hardware. I came in sceptical, having used a few tablets that fidgeted or needed fiddly drivers, but these just work. The build feels proper, not the flimsy stuff I’ve had before, and having two sizes — one in the studio and a smaller one for trips — suits my routine better than I expected. The software behaved straight away with Photoshop, no weird workarounds, which was a relief. Support has been surprisingly patient; I pester them now and then and they reply, which matters. There are small niggles — I’d like a slightly better battery life and maybe a cheaper option for students — but at the moment I’m satisfied. If you’re wavering, try one for a week; you’ll notice when things stop getting in the way of work. That’s the moment I knew it was worth it.
Practical, not flashy
driver updates crop up and at first I fiddled with pressure settings — that took a day — but otherwise it's solid. Support answered my questions quickly and seemed to care. I sold off older kit after a couple of weeks. Not flawless, but it just works, reliably.
