Parcel seemed to vanish after dispatch — not great. Ed was brilliant though, kept me posted the whole time and even stood ready to resend once the courier finally had it. I’ve had worse silences from other firms, so that personal touch really calmed me down.
Small battery, big fuss
Bought a tiny battery and then started the ten-call shuffle. Promised delivery every day. DPD supposedly lost it. No stock for two weeks, fair enough — then the refund showed up, quick and full, which was a nice surprise. Would tell others to check stock first.
No-nonsense swap
I thought I'd be stuck with a dud bulb, but it was swapped out straight away. Fitted it, it failed in a week — they replaced it without fuss. They talked me through the specs I couldn't find online, and you can actually ring them and speak to someone sensible. The bulb itself feels solid and gives a nice warm glow. Glad it worked out.
At the door it clicked
Standing at the door with the parcel, I knew it was right — everything matched the description and worked straight away. Delivery was absurdly quick, packaging solid though there was a tiny scuff on one corner. Not a big deal. Ordering was painless and staff were helpful when I checked something. I'd order again; maybe watch small postage costs, but overall very satisfied.
Logistics letdown
Wasn’t expecting a logistics saga when I clicked buy. I saw the parts on their site and thought I’d collect locally, but orders actually ship from a depot 50 miles away. I needed the bits quickly, tried to cancel and phoned and emailed but got no reply, which was the worst bit — proper frustrating and stressful. Eventually they arrived but days later. On the plus side my local shop (I’d tipped a mate to go there) is brilliant and much more reliable.
Doorstep drama, decent replacement
It felt odd opening a package that had been sat on the step for who knows how long. I ordered two things, one listed as in stock but clearly wasn't, and the order just sat suspended — I wasn't told. I chased them two weeks later and found out nothing had happened; no plan either. I agreed to a different brand and the replacement itself is actually quite decent, feels solid and works as you'd expect, surprisingly. Delivery was sloppy (left outside despite DPD saying it was handed to someone). The 'satisfaction guaranteed' line is misleading. I'd suggest double-checking stock and asking for signed delivery.
