check reviews, ask for real photos, and maybe avoid unless you're prepared to chase them. Someone should really check these sellers properly. Still, delivery itself wasn't missing, just disappointing. A quick refund would have helped a lot.
The one with the dodgy blue cord
I should have trusted the nagging doubt. The box arrived on time, no problem there, but the moment I pulled the first item out I went from mildly optimistic to quietly irritated. One piece had a bright blue cord that looked like it had been nicked from a children’s craft box — honestly, the cord was the most expensive-looking thing on the whole thing. The metal bits were thin, the finish felt like costume jewellery, and the other item didn’t resemble the marketing images at all. The photos had clearly been doctored; what they’d actually sent wasn’t close.
I tried to be reasonable and look into the returns. Cue another level of frustration: to get a refund you have to repackage and send it back to China, which would have cost more than keeping this junk as a cautionary ornament. Their “solution” was to offer 15% off my next purchase, as if that’s going to make me buy again from the same place. I spent an evening digging and found dozens of similar complaints, and the pattern was the same — different brand names, same photos, changing company names, sales copy about retiring or closing down. It all felt very organised, in a slightly sinister, marketing-driven way. I’ve got to admit I was half-amused at the cleverness of it and half-annoyed at being in the long line of duped customers.
In the end I didn’t get the satisfaction of a proper refund, but the experience taught me to save my money for a local jeweller next time. If you’re tempted, remember those nagging doubts I had — they didn’t disappear for me, they were right. Take it as a warning rather than a lesson paid for with rubbish that’ll probably turn your finger green in a month.Almost didn’t bother buying it
the necklace arrived cracked and one earring was missing (packaging fault, I guess). I sent photos straight away. At first they didn’t reply, then after I chased them a couple of times they apologised and sent replacements. It wasn’t instant and it did feel like a hassle, but the second set turned up intact and looks fine. So my scepticism faded, partly because they eventually sorted it — just a slow, slightly awkward process.
Nearly walked away but it was sorted
Wasn't sure about ordering from these after reading a couple of grim reviews and having a bad run with another online seller last year. I hesitated for a few days, then went ahead because the price was better and I needed the bits quickly. Initial ordering process was fine — website clunky in places but checkout worked. When the parcel arrived it wasn't what I'd ordered, which immediately triggered the usual dread. I emailed photos and details, waited a bit — not instant, but they replied and asked me to post the wrong items back. At the post office the cheapest return was absurdly expensive, and at that point I was ready to open a card dispute. I messaged them again and they offered a partial refund plus a voucher. I took the refund; once processed it went through to my card, so the bank part wasn't needed in the end. So, doubts before purchase didn't fully vanish — the mix-up was annoying and returns were a faff — but I'm actually quite relieved they dealt with it without me having to escalate. Not perfect, but I got my money back and I'm not out of pocket. Would I use them again? Possibly, with caution. I'm actually grateful it was sorted, even though it was a pain.
