    I remember the odd quiet moment when my mum tried them on and simply kept them in — that was the moment I knew they were fine. The first pair were a bit thick and wouldn't sit in her lobes, so we got in touch with customer service. After a short, slightly frustrating exchange with Natalie they sent a replacement, and the new earrings slid in easily and stayed comfortable all afternoon. I'm relieved and actually quite pleased it turned out straightforward.

    Nice watch, messy follow-up

    Was halfway through the unboxing and honestly the watch itself felt lovely — proper weighty, the bracelet sits nicely and the finish is exactly what I wanted. So that part made me quite happy, and it arrived well packed and on time which I appreciated. But the paperwork was missing, which for a three-grand plus piece is annoying. I emailed and got told to send it back for a replacement, except it’s a limited edition and sold out everywhere, so I asked if they could guarantee sourcing one — no reply from Rachel on that. Tried the 0800 number, 30 minutes on hold and I gave up. I’ve bought watches before from other jewellers who were more organised. All in all glad the watch is good, but I won’t be ordering here again.

    Ring that kept catching

    I bought a sapphire and diamond ring for my wife's 45th. At first it looked fine. After a week the claws started catching on everything she wore. They pulled threads from blouses, knitwear and at least four dresses ended up ruined. The prongs felt sharp when I ran a finger over them. It wasn't a subtle snag — it was constant. We went back to the shop in Bracknell, Lexicon, hoping they'd sort it. The man on duty was curt and basically told us to take it to a private jeweller. No offer to inspect or fix it. In the end a local jeweller re-tipped and smoothed the claws in one visit. That fixed it and we're glad it's wearable now. If you're looking, check the prongs first and insist they inspect it before you leave. A shame about the store's attitude, but relieved the ring can be worn.

    Thought I’d found the one

    I remember the moment — he pulled it from the box and I honestly thought, yes, this is perfect. We’d seen it in the Beaverbrooks window after a mate pointed it out, so there was that little buzz, you know? Fast forward and that happy feeling’s faded. The claw was loose almost straight away, they sent it off to Canada and then it got lost for months. I swapped it for another ring but barely wore either one because I work for the NHS and can’t wear jewellery at work. Now a diamond has actually fallen out and the band’s gone a bit out of shape. They’re sending it away again and the woman suggested it might be down to wearing it — which feels ridiculous when it cost about £4,000 and has hardly been on my hand. I’m gutted, a bit angry and just don’t trust them anymore.

    Bent bangle, bent patience

    the clasp gave up with very little wear and the shape stretched out, even though I was careful. I felt a bit accused when the shop said it was my fault; their customer service was slow and rather curt, kept offering a repair I didn’t want. I’d already bought a different piece elsewhere and just wanted my money back. In the end I had to take it up with my card company to get a refund, and once that was sorted I felt relieved, if a bit fed up. So mixed feelings — the jewellery looked and felt nice while it lasted, but the fragility and the awkward handling from the shop left a mark. Glad I got my money back in the end, though.

    Nearly perfect, with a few niggles

    the text notification came later in the day than I expected, and the gift wrap was fine but nothing special. Overall my initial worries about buying online were mostly eased — I’m happy with it, though I’d tell others to check the delivery text timing if you’re in a hurry.

    Disappointing repeat visit

    someone sat me down, showed me everything and made the whole thing pleasant. That’s why I expected the same this time and was let down. On 18 October I was served by a colleague called Fern. I asked to see their men’s Boss pieces and she did bring out a few trays, but when I asked to see a bit more she said she couldn’t. It wasn’t a huge ask — a couple more trays at most — but she was quite firm about not bringing them out.
    After waiting while she showed a few things and after I’d chosen a pair of earrings to match, she tried to point to stuff from behind an inner window rather than just bring it over. I kept standing there, expecting to be offered the seating area like last time, but that never happened. Maybe she assumed I was only looking and wouldn’t buy, only she’ll know that. It felt brusque and awkward and not the same level of service I’d had before.
    Then there was the refund situation, which really tipped it. My son rang me on his birthday and said he didn’t want to keep the items, so I told him to take them back. He went in at about 1.15pm and they initially refused to refund because they claimed there was no cash in the till. He was told to try Stockport instead. At one point the member of staff accused him of being aggressive while still refusing the refund. After a while she did produce notes and coins — about £160 in notes plus the rest in £1 coins — and gave the refund. If that money was there all along, I don’t understand why they couldn’t have sorted it straight away without making my son feel uncomfortable. The refund receipt was printed in Fern’s name, but my son said the person involved wasn’t her, which just added to the confusion.
    I’ve been a customer for years and this whole episode has made me seriously consider taking my custom elsewhere. I’ve also emailed about it and haven’t had a reply, which is disappointing. I’d like to know how staff explain the way things were handled, and I’m not happy about how my son was treated on what should have been a quick, simple return. Emotionally, it left me cross and a bit embarrassed for him.

    Well, that was awkward

    I buy what I thought was a smart Gucci G‑Frame at the Trafford Centre on 9 May for £1,260, excited to wear it — and at home I spot scratches down the side. Proper deflating moment. I put it on anyway to see how it felt; it sits nicely on the wrist, not too heavy, clasp is alright, but those marks? You notice them when you move. I called the shop first thing on Friday and was told I could return it at the Bolton branch. Easy, right? Not quite. The Bolton manager refused to take it back into stock, which left me puzzled. Back to Trafford, spoke to Angie who said she’d look into it and ring me by six. She did ring, but the line was basically: “It’s not within our policy” — despite them having sold it like that. When I asked if she’d actually checked with the sales assistant who sold it, she admitted she hadn’t. That felt wrong. I’m no detective, but it seems sensible to ask the person who made the sale. Instead I’m left with a watch that feels fine but looks used, and a bit frustrated at how the whole “investigation” was handled. Would appreciate a call from a senior manager to sort this properly — quick, honest chat would do.

    Silver bracelet purchase

    I just bought a silver bracelet from this shop and I must say that I am really disappointed with the quality. The bracelet is smaller than I thought and it doesn't look as nice as it did in the online picture. Also, the clasp feels weak and I'm worried about how long it will last. I'll be returning the bracelet because it just doesn't live up to what I was hoping for.

    Diamond Necklace

    I just bought a really beautiful diamond necklace from the store and I'm over the moon with how it all went. The folks working there knew their stuff when it came to the different choices on offer and they managed to steer me towards the perfect piece that was also within my budget. The necklace itself is top-notch quality and my wife is totally smitten with it. The service I received was outstanding and I felt well looked after every step of the way.     Two engagement rings

    I bought a couple of engagement rings from the shop in Guildford not too long ago. I must say, I had a great experience overall. The staff were so lovely and welcoming, especially Sam who was super friendly and helpful from start to finish. Even though there was a little hiccup with the sizes, they made up for it by giving us a bottle of Prosecco when we collected the rings. All in all, fantastic service, amazing rings, and wonderful people. I'll definitely be coming back to this store for any future jewellery shopping.

    Pretty necklace

    I'm absolutely chuffed with the super pretty necklace I got, it's like the best thing ever!
