    Garden strimmer

    We bought a garden strimmer and after a year it stopped working. We have now a garden product that was not cheap and Charles bentley give a one year warranty. But they do not sell spare parts when something goes wrong . No spare batteries or chargers.

    3 burner BBQ

    Arrived quickly but the quality of the items wasn’t what I hoped for and instructions were terrible. In the end the door didn’t fit the frame so it couldn’t be put together. There no call centre and no live chat, pretty much no customer services unless you want to wait 5 days for someone to help you out. I lost patience with them so ordered a refund which took 3 weeks. Don’t be fooled by what you see on their website.

    Good afternoon - I am sorry to hear of the issues you have had, we do have a live chat on our website and a customer service contact number. There are not always agents available on the chat, but it sends an email to our team in which gets picked up by the team almost instantly.

    Garden sofa set

    Ordered a garden sofa set on 25th March - confirmation email said we would have notification of dispatch, but this was not the case. Item delivered (unexpectedly) on 30th March, but when we assembled it we discovered it was damaged. Pictures taken and email sent to customer services on 31st as cannot see a phone number to contact. Received an automated email reply saying they would be in touch within 72h, but this has not been the happened. Have emailed since, but still no reply from them.

    Hoping that leaving a review here will open up some communication as we have paid a lot of money for defective goods and so far we have had no response from Charles Bentley.

    I am sorry for the issues you had during this time. All couriers during Covid have been having issues, driver shortages etc which causes a knock on affect for us in the Customer Service team, I am sorry you do not find this acceptable, and I hope this was resolved quickly.

    Patio furniture

    Following on from my original trustpilot review below we are almost a week on (now 5th Aug) from the latest email from Charles Bentley assuring me that the situation would be rectified and guess what...still no refund. This is absolutely appalling customer service surely verging on fraud.

    I ordered patio furniture on the 19th June with delivery within 7 days. The money was taken from my account however the goods never arrived. On contacting the company via their website (no phone contact available) I eventually received a reply on the 13th July and was told there was an issue with the courier not being able to fit the item onto the truck. I was told at that point that I could have a refund or arrange for a re-delivery which would be within 3-5 days.I opted for a re-delivery but again the item did not arrive. When I contacted the company 7 days later requesting a refund I received the following reply "there has been an issue with the couriers, I have requested they return this to us, when I get the confirmation I will refund as requested". I replied stating that I was not prepared to wait until the company were able to sort out an issue with their couriers as this was a problem at their end. The goods had never been received and indeed had been requested from the courier on the 13th July. I find this completely unacceptable given the company have had £699.00 of my money since 22nd June. I have still not had a reply to my request for an immediate refund.

    My highly expensive product I ordered through amazon using this company Charles bentley has resulted in me not receiving my goods after still after a month, and being sent fake delivery tracking details that are not even on amazon, they are refusing to refund my money, Feel like this dispute will be going on for a while, definitely a fraudulent company that rip ppl off there hard earned money, never using them again

    Charles Bentley Wooden Double Wheelie Bin Storage Unit

    Purchased over 3 months ago from Homebase. Took a while to arrive, but fair enough, we were deep in Covid19 at the time. Once it arrived, I checked everything was there against the part list - all good. Put it all together according to the instructions, it looked just like the picture. We painted it and then moved it into position. Brought the bins up to it only to discover that our standard sized bins (which measure the exact dimensions that Charles Bentley & Homebase say they should) will not fit through the doorway! So we double checked we'd constructed it as per instructions, checked it against photos on their websites and all looked OK. Got a tape measure out and checked the bin store against the dimensions given on the websites - it was smaller in every dimension! Then began the epic journey to attempt to get it returned and our money back. So far we've been trying for just over 3 months, we've had countless emails going back and forward to Homebase, they've promised us that Charles Bentley will contact us to arrange collection on at least 3 times and we've never heard a thing. Finally yesterday we got an email admitting that there is a problem with this product and offering us the chance to have a go at modifying it so we can fit the bins inside in return for a discount. ROTFLMAO - no, if you cannot supply a product as advertised, come and get your useless pile of wood and give us our money back immediately.

    Chest of drawers

    I ordered a chest of drawers which came damaged, damage in 3 separate points that i couldn't even close the draw. The order came with only one person in the van however the drawers require 2 people. Consequently the driver asked if i could help him lift it from the van to my home. (So much for contactless delivery and 2m social distancing) If this was a delivery for an elderly or disabled person who would assist with the lifting then? I asked for a replacement order but from a different courier however the replacement came from the same driver and once again was badly damaged with paint scratched off,drawers not opening and wood broken off. I have tried to speak to the sales manager Chris for 5 days without a response, ringing every working day to speak to him and leaving email messages without a response.

    I Ordered a large garden clock wich arrived on time but it didn't meet my expectations.contacted CB by email as there's no phone number to arrange a return that was a week ago and I haven't received had any response.bad customer service.
