    Half a win, half a headache

    cushions are saggy, fabric's slightly faded on one seat and there's a crease that shouldn't be there. I used their online form straight away, then again, four times, and after four days still no reply. They've replied to other customers so I'm puzzled. No phone number listed, so my only option is to speak to my bank. Won't be buying again.

    emails ignored, the contact form seems to be unmonitored, and you end up repeating yourself more than once. I still think their customer care is poor and slow — I had to wait ages for a refund and for tracking updates — so don’t expect helpful service. That said, when the right item finally arrived it really did the job. Not flawless, but it works, and the price felt fair for what you get. I’d use them again but only if I had time to chase things if needed.

    Late-night collapse

    late one night my husband rolls over and the frame suddenly gives way. We'd bought the Ascot bedframe after a house move because my recurring lower back pain meant we needed a more supportive base. It felt like a decent buy at the time, but the frame snapped and he woke with a sore back — ended up needing a GP visit. So the product failed us. Getting anything sorted has been the worst bit. Delivery itself arrived roughly on time and the assembly crew were polite, but after the break the company has been a headache. No proper phone number, emails take days to get a reply, and when they finally responded they insisted on the original packaging for a return — which I didn't keep because who does? They're deducting £40 from the refund and won't cover delivery costs. I've been chasing this for about a month. It's been slow, bureaucratic and frankly pretty callous. To be clear, the bed felt comfortable until it failed and apart from that some parts seem fine. Not perfect, but not a total disaster — though their aftercare is the real problem.

Days went by, more emails, very little in reply. I gave them another shot and ordered a different frame, partly because the rep who eventually answered was polite and actually processed the refund and said they’d prioritise the new order. Small win, to be honest. But then the same silence returned: promised dispatch emails that never arrived, long holds on the phone, and replies that felt reactive rather than proactive. The communication is the real problem here — not the product itself, I never even saw it properly — but the way they handle updates and refunds. If you’re reading reviews, take the glowing ones with a pinch of salt. For anyone asking, I did tip a colleague off at first because of the price point, and I regret that. There’s a polite person or two behind the scenes, and that counts for something, but the overall experience was frustrating and unreliable. I wouldn’t recommend relying on their timelines.

    Small tables, big hassle

    A chair that makes you test gravity

    they’re low, really low, so you can’t rest your arms without feeling awkward. It makes the word “armchair” feel like a joke. Design-wise it’s as if whoever spec’d this thinks humans sit differently. I use the chair for reading and watching films; it failed both jobs. I went back to my old Ikea seat while I thought about returns.
    Dealing with customer service felt like talking through a thick wall of distance — polite enough, but clearly they didn’t know what the warehouse was doing and I had to repeat basic facts. Returning it cost me £40, which stung, and the refund took about two weeks to come through. That was frustrating, but the moment I knew I was actually satisfied was when the refund hit my account and I was back in the familiar Ikea chair, no bounce, normal armrests. Strange to say, getting my money back felt like the product finally did what it should have done: leave me comfortable and not wasting my time.
    So, a damp squib of a chair for me, but the process ended neatly enough once the return was completed. If you’re picky about how a chair actually feels the minute you sit, take a seat in a shop first rather than relying on pictures.

    Oh, I am absolutely thrilled with the things I purchased! I managed to get a huge sofa, a couple of adorable love seats, and a useful storage box from the Soho collection. They are all really high quality and fit perfectly in my room. The service was fantastic as well, they kept me updated on my order throughout the whole process. I would definitely recommend my friends to shop there too.

    I ordered the Soho Chaise in early October and whilst i was pleased with the sofa -Customer service was appalling. I had paid for the two man delivery team. However the reality was a complete nightmare. The description states clearly that the sofa would be "delivered fully assembled to the room of your choice" Not the case at all - it arrived in large cardboard packaging which for me was not ideal. I had (still have) a broken ankle in a boot which was non weight bearing. I'm 68 years old and was left like this with an unassembled sofa and lots of card packaging. Customer service were not interested or at all helpful.

    Pillowcases, Duvet-cover

    I ordered some pillowcases and a duvet cover from this company not long ago. The pillowcases turned up quickly, which was good. But the duvet cover took ages to arrive, even though I asked about it in a couple of emails. I was really let down by the lack of help and communication from the customer service team. When the duvet cover finally came, I thought the quality wasn't up to scratch. Maybe it's just me, but I wasn't too keen on the product as a whole.

    Furniture set

    I have to admit, waiting for my furniture set felt like it took forever, but it was totally worth it in the end.     The ordering process from this company was a bit confusing because the confirmation emails didn't have clear delivery timelines, unlike other companies I've used before.     Cotton sheets, duvet set, summer duvet

    My daughter actually told me about Dusk, and I am really pleased she did. I had never even heard of them before, but I thought I'd give them a go as they had some great deals on bedding. I ordered a few cotton sheets, and I was really impressed by how good they were. They were so great that I ended up buying a duvet set and a summer duvet too. The products are all on sale, but the quality is much better than what you'd get in regular shops. One thing I really like about Dusk is their returns policy, which is really good for customers who might change their minds. After trying out Dusk, I won't be going anywhere else for my bedding needs.

    Soho Sofa bed in natural

    I would recommend steering clear if you can! I bought the Soho Sofa bed in natural which was supposedly in stock, but the delivery dates just kept getting delayed. Customer service wasn't very helpful and didn't give me much confidence that I would actually receive the item. I'm really disappointed with every part of my experience ordering from dusk.
