Probably not worth it — that's my verdict. I needed a quick sale to fund an upgrade and clear a few bills, so I tried this site for the first time. My Samsung was virtually new apart from a tiny nick in the top-left of the screen (hardly noticeable). Their online estimate said roughly £90, but after they 'tested' it they labelled it faulty and offered a measly £25. The process itself was easy enough and the paperwork sensible, but the valuation felt like a joke and I came away feeling cheated. Works, but not fair value — I won't be back.
Looks good, useless in practice
apparently it’s network-locked. The seller said they’d sort an unlock in a few days, then went quiet. Calls and emails mostly go unanswered; someone once promised a replacement next-day and that never arrived. Lovely bit of kit that I can’t use, frustrating.
Boxed badly, then silence
the offer was fair and the process easy, but don't trust the packaging and expect poor follow‑up.
Honest on the quote
I sent it off and within 48 hours the exact quoted amount arrived. It felt strangely reliable, like dealing with someone who knows what they’re doing. Not flashy, just straightforward. I’m pleased it worked out, especially after the headaches before. Will use them again and I’d tell a friend to try them — solid, honest service.
Odd payment problem after selling a pristine phone
Thought I’d try the selling service after a mate mentioned it; sent off an iPhone 11 that was basically pristine — no marks, felt like new in the hand. Three weeks on I’ve had an email saying the payment was made (website showed £195, I accepted £156), but the money never hit my bank. I’ve sent five emails, tried calling (line seems broken or permanently engaged), and there’s nowhere obvious to log a formal complaint. The selling process itself was simple and the phone was accepted, so the service partly works, but the follow‑up and payments are poor. If it’s not sorted in a week I’ll take it to Citizens Advice.
Quietly recovered
I was midway through my morning routine when I noticed odd emails and then—bit by bit—some funds gone. I use bitcoin for small day-to-day things, groceries and a couple of subscriptions, so it was a real nuisance. The official wallet support was slow and frankly not helpful; I called straight away and ended up running in circles. I found an independent recovery specialist who did the actual work and, after a tense few days, got most of it back for a modest fee. Communication with that person was sparse but direct, not glossy at all. I was sceptical at first, then relieved. Not perfect, and I’d still suggest being careful, but the end result was acceptable.
Not worth the risk
I'd avoid them — simple as that. I sent my phone in fully working condition and was told on return it had a broken camera and pixel damage. I used that phone up until I upgraded, so I know there was nothing wrong; opening the parcel when it came back was a proper surprise. The whole process felt sloppy and unfair, and it wasted time. Citizens Advice asked if I’d taken photos before posting — I hadn’t, lesson learned — so that’s on me, but it shouldn’t be a gamble. If you’re thinking of selling a device, take plenty of dated photos and use tracked postage. Also, it wouldn’t hurt if someone looked into their practices.
Nearly sent my phone away on a whim
I saw their trade-in ad on Facebook after a mate mentioned it and thought why not. I had proper doubts though — worried about security, whether they were legit and if I'd ever see the phone again. I did their phone test, boxed up my iPhone 7+ in great condition and sent it off. At first there was no confirmation, which felt odd. A few days later an email said they'd received it but it "failed testing". When I tried to log in to check, I was locked out. Password reset kept saying the token wasn't accepted. I've emailed several times asking for the phone back and some clarity, but radio silence. They had offered £225 and now the offer is £0. I’m frustrated and a bit sad about the whole thing — my original doubts never went away, they got worse.
Surprisingly smooth sale
wrap the phone, pop to the post office, job done. The parcel arrived with them in two days and, true to their word, they’d checked the phone and paid me by 5pm that same afternoon. Customer service were friendly on the updates and actually helpful when I asked a daft question about packing (I was nervous after a bad experience with another buyer, so that mattered). The payment was exactly what they quoted for an “excellent” device, which I appreciated — no haggling, no surprises. Really glad a fellow reviewer pointed them out, otherwise I might’ve gone back to the stressful route. All in all, fast delivery, decent service and a very easy process — I’d use them again.
Retroactive price change — be careful
don't send extras, expect downgrades, and don't rely on a quoted price staying fixed. Annoying, avoidable.
Nearly gave up, then they surprised me
Midway through a chaotic move — boxes everywhere, my back complaining and bills stacking up — I remembered the phone I’d sent off for a quote. I needed the cash pretty quickly, so I used the packaging they supplied and posted it on time. When the quote came back and they’d knocked nearly £100 off, I was proper annoyed and a bit suspicious; it felt like a slap in the face, to be honest.
After a few days of silence I chased them and they sent photos showing scratches and what looked like a battered screen. I sent my own pics straight back — and yes, there are the box labels in the background — and at first the rep was pretty blunt about “that’s how it arrived” which didn’t help my mood.
But then things turned around. A more senior person picked up the case, apologised for the rough handling and actually explained, in detail, how they’d assessed the damage. They offered to re-check my original photos, upped their offer a little and, crucially, helped me start a claim with Royal Mail for potential transit damage. They even emailed me through the forms and chased the claim for a couple of weeks. It wasn’t instant perfection, there were pauses and I had to nudge them a few times, but ultimately they were clear, helpful and the end result was fairer than I expected.
So yeah, sceptical at first — who wouldn’t be? — but delivery was spot on, the folks in customer service redeemed the situation and I felt listened to in the end. Would use them again, especially given how quickly they sorted the delivery paperwork.iPhone purchase for Mum
I've bought yet another great item from this company! This time, I picked up an iPhone for my Mum and - like every other item I've gotten from here - it got to me quickly and in perfect condition. It was a big money saver compared to buying brand new, which is always a plus. Overall, they're a really good company to shop with.
Mobile phone for emergencies
I must say, I found ordering to be a breeze - straightforward and simple. The website was a doddle to navigate, and I was able to swiftly choose and buy the mobile phone I needed for emergencies. The quick delivery was a definite bonus for me, as I got my order promptly. The phone does the job as a reliable backup device in case of emergencies. All in all, I'm happy with my buy and I'll certainly think about using this service again in the future.
Phone trade-in
I recently swapped my old phone at Envirofone and was really pleased with the fair price I got. They even upped the initial offer after checking my phone which turned out to be in better shape than I thought. The whole process was speedy and the customer service was top-notch. I liked how they were so thorough and transparent, it made me trust their service even more.
Unlocked phone
I bought a phone from Envirofone that was supposed to be unlocked. The phone looked good when it arrived, but when I tried to use my Vodaphone SIM card, it asked for an NCK code to unlock. It was annoying because I thought I was getting a phone that was already unlocked. I ended up having to go to a phone specialist in town and pay £19.99 to get it unlocked. Definitely not the easy experience I was hoping for.
Phone purchase
I've just made a purchase from this company and I have to say, I'm really happy with the service they provided. I had a bad experience with another company before, so I thought I'd try them out. They stuck to their clear phone condition criteria perfectly when I sent my phone in. They quickly deposited payment into my account within 24 hours of receiving my phone. Overall, my experience with this company was hassle-free and efficient.
iPad Pro purchase
I bought an iPad Pro from this place and it was really affordable. It arrived quickly and well packaged. The iPad Pro itself is fantastic, I absolutely love it!
Second iPhone purchase
I've had a really good experience with this company. It was actually my second time buying from them and I've always been really impressed with how good their service is and the quality of their products. The iPhone I got was in perfect condition, just like they said on their website. The customer service team were also really helpful and quick to answer any questions I had. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone in the market for a refurbished phone.
Selling old phone
I sold my old phone to this company not long ago, but I was pretty gutted with the amount they offered me for it. They initially said they'd pay me a lot more than they actually did once they got the phone. I felt like I'd wasted my time and would have been better off selling it somewhere else. I'd advise others to be careful when dealing with this company.
Trade-in experience
I've had problems in the past with other trade-in companies. They didn't believe the device's condition or damaged it without admitting it. But this company was different. It was a nice surprise. The whole process was easy and I got paid quickly with no issues.
