first they said the refund would be automatic, then they wanted my IBAN, then they said they didn’t, then asked again. Weeks passed, every reply altered the story and shifted the blame. It’s now with my bank and the European Consumer Centre. If you can tolerate muddled admin and slow resolution you’ll get the kit, but don’t expect straightforward customer service.
Bit of a faff, sadly
I almost didn't buy because a mate had warned me — and because the deal looked a bit too good to be true. I saw the listing on a cycling forum and thought, hmm, worth a shot. At first I shrugged off my doubts, then the order missed the delivery date and I heard nothing from them. I messaged and was told it was "out of stock". Fine, I asked for a refund and was promised it by a certain date. That date passed, no refund, and their explanation was vaguely that refunds are processed manually and take time. So I dug my heels in, supplied IBAN details, and waited some more. In the end Wise stepped in with a goodwill refund after I opened a dispute — that was a relief, really, otherwise I'd still be chasing. So my initial scepticism was justified, but the payment was sorted without me losing money. I'm annoyed at the poor communication and slow process, but not entirely ruined. First time I've left a negative review, which says something.
