My husband loves gardening but after we moved to another house, we urgently needed to reinstall our garden. My husband is a big fan of Gardening direct, so we ordered most of the plants from here as well as necessary fertilizers. The side is a very good option for those who started gardening recently. As you will get an idea about stuff that you need.
I will never use this company again, today I received the last plants from my £200 order more than 5 weeks later than my lobelia. The busy lizzies were were upside down, broken and quite frankly looked like they had been trodden on, probably can salvage 15 plants from 24 but they are no where near ready to be planted outside as they look like young seedlings! Really disappointed and have already complained to Gardening Direct
I placed an order for 2 planted Hanging baskets on the 7th April and I have not yet received them. There is no update on when the delivery might be on my orders page. I appreciate they don't send out until the plants can be planted out, but that time has passed. There has been no reply to a follow up email I sent them on May 11th. This really is very poor customer service. I agree with the other gentleman who said hiding behind covid-19 is Not an acceptable excuse. I'm now in the position of not knowing whether to purchase alternatives now the garden centres have reopened or not, or how I might obtain a refund if I do.
I will not be placing another order with them again.
We ordered 5th, 10th & 11th April so 3 orders and todate ie today we get a burst bag of compost which split over our hallway carpet, 2 of the plants both wilted and dying.
Having spent £150 the service we received is non existent, we have sent numerous emails in April asking to cancel the orders but they ignore . We will be taking legal action and the credit card company are already in process to retrieve our payments.
Having been in business for 50 years customer service was the No1 priority because without customers you don't have a business, it takes upto 5 years to build up a business but 5 minutes to lose it. Your lack of customer service in our case has lost a loyal customer .
You need to wake up and not hiding behind Covid19 and start replying to customers despite Covid19 , (like thousands of other businesses.)
