Halfway through moving, my bad back made it urgent; delivery came, support fixed faults.
Slightly surprised
Doubted it, bought it, mostly fine.
Mostly quick
Quick, mostly fuss-free. CS sorted it after a short faff; saw them online, tipped my mate.
They actually help
Needed something for my back. Bought this as a test. It broke after a month, but the firm sorted it promptly, which I liked.
Nearly worried, not anymore
I was hesitant before buying — wondered if warranty and support were real. Used it this month and the team sorted a warranty issue within a day, no faff. First impression solid, a few tiny niggles but overall pleased and will buy again.
Morning saved by a patient advisor
I rang about a temperamental wall‑mounted vacuum and the moment I was sold was when Lea calmly guided me through a reset and it sprang back to life. I use it every morning for crumbs and dog hair—still not perfect, but properly useful now, which is a relief.
Nearly didn't buy it
I started using this retractable hose reel a few weeks ago, in early spring, and at first I was a bit sceptical — thought it might jam or snap back too hard. Turns out it's been handy. The hose pulls out smoothly to the length I need and, after a short tug, it reels back tidy — mostly — without the usual tangles. Saves me faffing about coiling the hose.
Tea-time delivery chaos
take screenshots, keep receipts and don't expect quick delivery. Bit of a faff, but happy it will be resolved.
Quick fix, no fuss
packaging was a touch creased, but who cares when it works. Properly pleased.
Loud, leaky and slow to help
I was not planning to hide a pressure washer in the garage, but that’s what happened. It’s the top model, so I expected better. The concept is neat. The reality is messy. It’s very loud — loud enough that you don’t want to be standing next to it without ear protection. Neighbours complained, so I moved it inside. The reel idea is sensible, but it doesn’t wind the hose properly. It bunches and leaves a lot of hose on the floor. Annoying when you’re trying to get on with chores. I switched to the softer grey hose because I thought it’d be easier to handle. That one kinks and cuts off flow. The unit also takes a while to come up to full pressure, which makes short jobs drag on. On the plus side, when it does reach pressure it cleans stubborn grime better than I expected — that surprised me and kept me using it despite the other problems. The supplied gun and soap bottle feel cheap. I tried fitting a better aftermarket gun and wasted time because the fittings available here don’t match. Getting spare parts in the UK is a pain. My leader hose arrived kinked. I’d already waited three weeks for delivery so I carried on. Months later the kink split and my garage flooded. Contacting the company has been slow. They don’t take calls and emails take a few days to get a reply. Their immediate offer was to send another whole machine rather than the single hose I needed. I suggested they open that new box and just post the hose, but no. Overall, useful when it works, but delivery issues and poor customer service make it more trouble than it should be. Not the hassle-free fit-and-forget item I wanted.
Nearly chucked it, then sorted
I bought it last month and, I'll admit, I was dubious — felt a bit flimsy at first. After a quick replacement, it's solid, easy to live with.
Dodged a dodgy deal
I won't buy from them — saved myself. Needed a new mattress for my rubbish back after a house move, and I was literally seconds from ordering when I skimmed the reviews. Loads of horror stories. Relieved I checked, annoyed I now have to keep looking.
When it clicked
I needed this because my persistent back pain pushed me to try something different, and it actually did what it claimed. There was a minor mechanical hiccup — same as with any gadget — but customer service sorted it calmly and quickly. That’s when I felt properly satisfied, really.
Wrong parcel, slow replies
Bit odd — I ordered after a mate flagged it on Instagram. The parcel arrived wrong and customer support went quiet after one reply. I’ve chased a few times over weeks and only today got an email saying the right item’s being sent. Still cautious, delivery took ages and the whole exchange felt clumsy, but fingers crossed.
Prompt delivery, poor follow-up
Pulled the reel from the box and the mechanism wouldn't retract. Delivery was surprisingly prompt — courier left it by the back gate, neat and on time, which was a minor consolation. Customer service, though, was a mess. They asked for a recording, serial, phone and order details; I sent everything. Replies kept repeating the same requests, then one message included someone else's address. Responses grew curt and then stopped entirely. No replacement, no refund, just silence. I've had quicker resolutions elsewhere; this was unexpectedly poor handling from a company that could have fixed it easily.
Nice reel, dodgy aftercare
Bought this retractable hose reel about four summers ago and at first it was a delight — chunky, well-made, the hose slid back in like a well-behaved slinky. I used it all season for the veg patch and the odd car wash; it felt solid under hand and actually saved me faff. Then it decided to jam. I tinkered and managed a bodge repair myself, which mostly worked, but the rewind tension never quite came back, so it only half-sits tidy now. I rang customer care hoping for a tip on how to tighten the mechanism and got stuck in a loop instead. A lady called Doris asked for invoice and a video even after I said I wasn’t making a warranty claim — I’m four years in. In the end polite but pointless. Product itself still does the job, with a bit of extra effort, but the support side needs sorting. Annoying, but not a total write-off.
Midnight realisation
refund processed and a sensible replacement option suggested. The moment I knew I was satisfied was when the money hit my account and the person on the phone sounded genuinely sorry, not scripted. Still a faff and a bit slow, but relief beats stewing. Would use again, cautiously — and I’ll ask for confirmation calls next time.
Oddly expensive, oddly fragile
I bought a supposedly heavy-duty 30m wall reel because I kept getting hoses that fell apart and I’ve got a dodgy back, so lugging coils around was a no-go. I was hesitant about spending £119.99. Felt daft paying that much, but thought I’d finally be done with cheap junk. Two months in the spray nozzle started weeping like an old tap. Proper slow leak. I contacted the maker three times. Heard nothing. No phone number either, just radio silence. Amazon eventually sorted a refund after I chased them a few times, which was a relief and a surprise — I hadn’t expected them to step in so decisively. Giraffe Tools offered only a replacement nozzle when they did reply, which missed the point for me. On top of it I’d paid someone to fit the reel, then pay them again to remove it for return, then fit a Hozelock replacement. Annoying. So yeah, not what I hoped, though the refund saved it from being a total disaster.
Not worth the bother
the agent, Doris, repeatedly asked questions I’d already answered and ignored most of my emails, only replying to what suited her. She took over a month to process a refund that she herself had approved, then still dragged it out for another month — blaming holidays and paper trails without ever explaining where the 20-odd days went. No apology, no ownership. There was no engineer offered, no real troubleshooting over email, and frustratingly no phone number to call — their online enquiry was a mess and getting any response was a mission. I appreciate machines fail sometimes, that’s fine, but the handling here is poor and unprofessional. I’ve saved all the emails, photos and video evidence and I’m left disappointed and out of pocket for longer than necessary. If you’re buying because you need something reliable for pain or a home issue, don’t expect quick help from these people. I’m past angry now, just fed up.
