they put it right and I’m happy to buy from them again. I’d ordered a Ficus because I’d just moved into a new flat and honestly needed something living in the corner — the place felt a bit dead and I thought a big, glossy plant would help. I’ll admit I was sceptical straight away; the pot arrived looking damp and, two days later, the soil was still soaked. I inspected the rootball and, yep, there was rot. That was annoying. I rang customer service, sent photos, and at first got a reply that downplayed it — “just trim the rotten bits, repot and see what happens.” I did what they suggested, but it left the rootball tiny and me feeling a bit let down. It wasn’t the unboxing I’d hoped for, especially after hearing such good things about them. So I was ready to write them off, to be honest. Then Otto — the director — got in touch. Properly apologised, explained what had gone wrong, and admitted the team should have offered a better fix straightaway. He offered full compensation: a replacement plant or a store credit. That change of tone mattered. It went from shrugging and disappointment to feeling listened to and respected. The replacement arrived better packed and healthier, and I can tell they take customer care seriously. I still think the first response could’ve been handled better, but the quick, personal follow-up and the offer to make good turned my experience around. I’m recommending them now, cautiously enthusiastic maybe, but genuine — I’ll buy again. If you’re like me and need a bit of greenery after moving or a previous bad delivery, they’re worth a shot because they do fix things when it matters.
Settled at last
a messy start with confusing replies and inconvenient return options, then a responsible, human response that repaired the situation. I’m left mildly pleased rather than overjoyed, and I’d probably buy from them again but I’d double-check freebies and stock notes first. Small things, but they matter.
Half disappointed, half relieved
communication could have been better and the wait was annoying, and I’ve had smoother dealings with other sellers. Still, the issue was eventually sorted and the plants are doing okay, so overall mixed but leaning towards acceptable.
