a helpful rep at the courier did try to look into it, which I didn't expect. Overall, not a great experience but not a total trainwreck either.
Trust dented after a dodgy delivery
I ordered a dry herb vape because my lower back has been acting up and I wanted something portable while we’re moving house — less faff than packing a big chair, you know. The price was way lower than everywhere else, which made me curious, so I took the plunge. They sent tracking within 24 hours and that part felt fine. Then, half an hour later, I got an email that looked like it was from the post office in St Louis saying the shipper hadn’t paid enough postage and I needed to follow a link to top up a small amount. It all looked convincing — the link led to pages that even resembled real USPS sections. I entered card details, the bank blocked it, tried a second card, same thing; I froze both cards straight away. Next morning there was an email about an Apple Store account opened with one of those cards. I reported fraud and ordered replacement cards. I’m not saying the shop itself sent the scam, but something odd happened around the dispatch phase, and customer service was pretty much non-existent when I tried to get clarity — slow replies and vague answers. Delivery process clearly needs tightening and better checks. The price was great, and otherwise the ordering felt straightforward, so I’m tempted to buy again, but not until I get a solid reply from their customer team and some reassurance about payment security.
Solid kit, rubbish returns
getting a return or any sensible guidance has been a right faff. Their return policy reads like a series of hurdles. It basically tells you to “do your own research” but offers no helpful videos or clear how‑tos on the product page. I ended up trawling YouTube and forums to work out whether I’d missed something. For an expensive bit of kit that’s not great.
I phoned customer service and the person was polite, but the outcome was pretty unhelpful — lots of rules quoted, few solutions, and mentions of extra costs. It left me feeling like they’d rather keep a questionable item on my shelf than help me swap it for something that actually works. If returns are this awkward, I’ll go local next time; shops with friendlier return policies make life easier for people trying things out. Slightly disappointed, because delivery and build were fine, but the aftercare really lets them down. I might try them again if that changes. When I finally felt reassured
I got a grinder for everyday use — I use it most mornings for herbs, not anything dramatic — and it arrived faulty. It wouldn’t turn properly and there was obviously residue inside from prior use. That in itself was annoying, but the return exchange is what made me sit up. The shop wouldn’t supply a prepaid returns label and suggested I give it a quick wash, pack it up and post it myself via the US Postal Service, paying postage. That struck me as careless, and, well, risky — not something I wanted to do. I objected, politely, and made it clear I wasn’t prepared to follow that instruction. I didn’t want to, frankly, be the one taking on potential legal or safety issues just to save them postage. After pushing back, and a couple of messages that went round in circles, I contacted my bank for a chargeback. The moment I knew I was satisfied came when the bank accepted the dispute and the refund was processed — simple as that. It wasn’t cheering, but it was a relief, the kind that makes you breathe out and move on. The grinder itself still annoyed me, and their customer support felt dismissive, but the outcome — a full refund without having to play courier for their mistake — is what settled me. I’ll be more careful where I buy next time, but at least this ended without me bending the rules.
