I would've liked to see more real-life stories and less about beauty stuff.     I recently went and signed up for a 6-month promotional subscription offer, but I had a bit of bother when it came to cancelling it. Even though I made a note in my diary to cancel on time, trying to do so turned out to be a right nightmare. The website said I could sort it all out online, but I just ended up going round and round in circles without getting anywhere. After wrestling with the website for a bit, I had no option but to ring customer service to cancel. And even now, I'm not sure if it's been done properly. In the end, I had to stop my direct debit to make sure the subscription was cancelled. It's really frustrating when companies say they're above board but then make it so hard for customers to quit their subscriptions.

    Gift subscription renewal issue

    My story with the gift subscription began back in April 2020 when I signed up for a 6-month gift subscription deal. However, it wasn't until May 2024 that I realised I had actually been charged for 2 different magazine subscriptions for 4 whole years without even knowing it. I was genuinely surprised to find out that the code linked to the gift subscription meant it would just keep going without any updates or chance to review the terms. It felt like a bit of a trick, and after lots of questions, I eventually managed to stop the subscription altogether. From now on, I'll definitely be more careful with any future subscriptions and make sure I fully understand what I'm agreeing to before I sign up.

    Being a reader of this magazine for quite some time now, I have to say I'm a bit let down by the lack of diversity in the content. It seems to be very focused on women and doesn't really represent men or male entrepreneurs/businessmen. Also, seeing the same 'celebrities' like Davina McCall, Joanna Lumley, and Fern Britton all the time is starting to get boring and uninspiring. It would be nice to have some more variety and hear from new voices in the magazine.

    I am absolutely fuming about this magazine subscription, it was a complete rip-off! They told me I would get a free gift, but then backtracked and said it was only for a different subscription. I even showed them a screenshot of the offer I had signed up for. And on top of that, I still haven't received the magazines I paid for. The customer service team doesn't seem bothered at all. Honestly, this company is just dreadful.

    Amazing Red magazine

    Red magazine is such a treat every month, I just adore it! My best friend and I always argue over who gets to dive into it first (spoiler alert: it's always me). I'm a big fan of all the fashion and beauty features, and the book and media reviews are spot on. I sometimes skip the home and cooking bits at the end, but hey, you can't please everyone, right? Whenever I'm on the train, Red keeps me entertained and the journey flies by. Shoutout to the amazing team behind this awesome magazine - you're all amazing!

    I've been a loyal customer of Hearst magazines for years, but I've hit a bit of a snag with renewing my subscriptions recently.     I really like reading most of the stuff in the magazine, but I do get a bit annoyed with how they always seem to be talking about women's accomplishments and really expensive fashion things. I do like keeping up with the latest trends, even though I'm in my seventies, but some of those prices are just way too much for me. And it's not great that they automatically renew the subscription without giving you any heads up beforehand.

    I absolutely love receiving Good Housekeeping every month, before it arrives in the shops! It was easy to subscribe and I'll be looking to subscribe to another title as well.
